i think this song is definitely about taking someone,something, possibly nature or his life for granted.

i get the sense that the writer feels he did not do enough in his lifetime or did any important things for the world and feels somewhat resentment.

but either way, he feels that it is too late for him to do much.

to me this song is about death, or someone who died.
"It's so cold in this house" this problably refers to how cold it gets when there is a spirit, but that might be a stretch.
"The children staying home from shool Will not stop crying" people say that children see spirits unlike adults.
"Come and show me how it was" he wants this entity/ghost/spirit to show him how it was to be where he is now.
"Been walking into the walls again" probably the way spirits can supposedly walk into walls.
i don't know, that is just my take on it, there are many ways to interpret this song but it is nonetheless brilliant. |

well it is pretty much self explanitory, but i think it is about two people who love each other and feeling worried that the other person might not come back when they are away.
but the ending (sort of) feels like she is tired of the same thing happening; hence the "We've all heard about it before". |

haha well i think this song is just explaning, or putting into lyrics, the immaturaty of a relationship. hence why she says "oh whats wrong with you". most couples think that their explanation to a fight is correct and they dont neccesarily want to understand or consider their partners. |

when you are in long distance relationship you want that person to think about you, mainly because they cant physically talk to you or have contact, which is what most relationships are about. i think that it is a plead for a call or sign that you do love that person. i guess when you do not hear from someone you automatically think they did not like you, which rises up insecurities in oneself. |

i think this song i guess it is that feeling, or realization, that you love this person and they love you back, hence the "All this feels strange and untrue".
however when you read further to the lyrics i think he is speaking about young people in love when he says "Get up get out get away from these liars cause they don't get your soul or your fire" he is problably talking about the kids parents. i can relate to it because most parents do not understand teenagers specially if they are in love. i could be utterly wrong but that is my theory. |

i completely and utterly love them for writing a song that speaks to people who are not exactly selfish, but want more things to come their way. it might be that they are not undecerving, just that things do not go the right way. in many ways i think that he is having a diolauge with god ; you know like when you are having a bad day and you pray to god and such to make it better. he is asking, or praying , him to make him feel important and recognized. |

i think this song pretty much says he is being straightforward to this person he met and he them that even though their love was not expected and it caught them by surprise, they are willing to go along with it and see how far it goes. some of the things have hidden meaning, but the message is clear. |
