| Jeff Buckley – Thousand Fold Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
nothing beats this line: "there ain't a star born that brightens more than you, you always should have known, Joan." very heartwarming and romantic... His proclamation of love for Joan Wasser. |

| Jeff Buckley – I Shall Be Released Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
i have that phone version!! there's no word to describe it except for.... BEAUTIFUL. you can hear happiness and excitement in Jeff's voice. I sometimes weep when I listen to it.. I read in the book Dream Brothers that Jeff sang to Rebecca Moore over the phone for almost an hour, hours before he waded into the water...and hearing his voice on the phone, singing, just makes my heart melt... Happy Birthday Jeff!! it was his birthday yesterday, Nov. 17. It would have been his 43rd. I hope you all remember him through his trully great legacy. |

| Jeff Buckley – Satisfied Mind Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
of course he had a satisfied mind..I'm sure he was at peace when he succumbed to death. Listen to Grace, it shows Jeff's perception of death and how we should not fear it because it will happen anyway. |
|
| Jeff Buckley – I Know We Could Be So Happy, Baby (If We Wanted to Be) Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| maybe because Thom Yorke was deeply influenced by Jeff Buckley..remember Fake Plastic Trees? | |
| Jeff Buckley – All Flowers In Time Bend Towards The Sun Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| don't be sad pipol, so maybe Jeff's gone..... but you never know, God might send him back to us because everybody here wants him. I'm saying this because i want him here so badly. Music will sound much better with him around..(sigh) | |
| Jeff Buckley – So Real Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| i've seen the music video of this song in youtube and it was so funny.lol! Jeff was such a goof. Somehow the lyrics seem to fit the funny theme of the video..i love the part when he sings (or spoke) "I love you..."..he looked tormented yet sincere..he looked awesome | |
| Jeff Buckley – Dream Brother Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
the "brother" in this song was Jeff's friend, Chris Dowd. Dowd had his girlfriend pregnant and attempted to leave her but Jeff tried to stop him because he himself was abandoned by his own father. "Don't be like the one who made me so old Don't be like the one who left behind his name Cause they're waiting for you like i waited for mine And nobody ever came..." the line is about the similarities between DOWD and Jeff's dad Tim Buckley. |
|
| Jeff Buckley – Forget Her Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| Jeff didn't want this song to be released as part of Grace album because it was too personal...some say he wrote this after he and Rebecca Moore broke up. Maybe Jeff realised that he still loved her and the song might hurt Moore. Seriously though, this song is full of angst and sadness...and yet very beautiful. | |
| Jeff Buckley – Vancouver Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| whenever I hear Muse and Radiohead nowadays, I couldn't help but think of Jeff Buckley. I mean, his influence is very much evident to their music...considering his short career and w/ only one album he released during his lifetime, he's very much influential. He's like Jesus Christ!! It's amazing how one person can have so much influence to a lot of people, not just musicians..and he continues to do so even after he's gone. Amazing. | |
| Jeff Buckley – Lilac Wine Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| This song is like Mojo Pin. It's about loving losing one's self to a substance in the absence of a loved one, only the substance here is alcohol, not drugs. | |
| Jeff Buckley – Corpus Christi Carol Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| whatever Jeff is singing, it either sounds romantic, seductive, sad and beautiful...but mostly romantic and this is no exception. With the Grace album, you will be introduced to different music genres: rock, alternative, ballad, jazz, blues (Lilac Wine), and opera (Corpus Chorus)...and it only shows that Jeff's voice was so versatile and beautiful, it couldn't go wrong. Like his dad (Tim Buckley), he loves to experiment in Music. | |
| Jeff Buckley – Everybody Here Wants You Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
agree to all of you!!!!!! this is the sexiest, most romantic song ever! everytime i hear this, i couldn't help but imagine Jeff singing this for me and my heart would just melt...very powerful song. Joan Wasser was a very lucky girl, and so was the other women in Jeff's life. I wish that someone would right a song for me.. as romantic and as sexy as this one. |
|
| Jeff Buckley – Grace Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
i agree w/ tinfoilsally... i, too, am so sick of people who would talk about Jeff and then would mention his untimely death out of nowhere. It makes him so....dead (sigh)... Let's just celebrate his life and remember him through his music and not as a tragic hero...like what he said "I don't really need to be remembered - I hope the music's remembered." Whenever i listen to his songs and watch his videos...i can feel that he's very much alive, like he never left at all. |

| the first song that i relate to. definitely one of my favorite songs. | |
| Dashboard Confessional – This Ruined Puzzle Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| most dc songs, BUT NOT ALL, are sad but not really depressing. they're actually inspiring and you'll never feel alone when you listen to them if you just went through a horrible break-up or having a crisis in a relationship because you'll feel that another person is going through the same situation. You will realize that when you listen to chris and feel his emotions, it's so real. They are not like other sad songs that after you listen to them you just wanna shoot yourself because you're better off dead. That's what i like about d/c songs. Plus, Chris Carrabba is sooo hot! not to mention talented. :P | |
| Dashboard Confessional – So Long, So Long Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| so this is an old d/c song? i thought this is new cause it's from dusk and summer. nweiz, love it! i love counting crows too! | |
| Dashboard Confessional – Rooftops and Invitations Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| how come this song only got 18 posts? this song is awesome. you guys gotta love this. | |
| Dashboard Confessional – Slow Decay Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| i agree w/ 'pochoy'. i guess this song is about a burn-out son coming back to his parents. that's just what i think, ok? | |
| Dashboard Confessional – Age Six Racer Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I don't understand why Chris gave this song its title 'Age six racer'. It's not even in the lyrics! 'So long sweet summer' suits better. But i love this song! The girl's back vocals is so beautiful too. | |
| Avril Lavigne – Girlfriend Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| sorry but i don't like this song. she's so different from what she was in the past years especially in the video. i like the old avril. | |
| Dashboard Confessional – The Brilliant Dance Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|

|
| The Calling – Adrienne Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| who's adrienne? alex was seem so angry in the video while singing this song. | |
| Story of the Year – Until The Day I Die Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
"Until the day I die I'll spill my heart for you, for you Until the day I die I'll spill my heart for you As years go by I race the clock with you But if you died right now You know that I'd die to I'd die too" so sweet. knowing that someone is willing to die with you...*sigh* |
|
| Evanescence – Anywhere Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| the most romantic song ever written. *sigh* | |
| Dashboard Confessional – For You To Notice Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| this song is so sad. the 1st and 2nd stanzas are kinda sweet, though. almost everyone go through this kind of feeling, wanting someone to notice you. | |
| Dashboard Confessional – Vindicated Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| this song introduced me to dashboard confessional. i like the comic book theme of the video and how it showed tobey and chris simultaneously. i love both of them! i actually thought they were look alike. Since then, i became a chris carrabba fan and ofcourse a dc fan. Nweiz, love the song. It's so moving. The time this song was released, i was struggling through adulthood too. | |
| Dashboard Confessional – Stolen Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| "You have stolen heart" sang by chris carrabba really beats "you complete me" of jerry maguire aka tom cruise. You should agree. Any girl who would hear this would instantly fell. I know this cos I have. =) So captivating... | |
| The Calling – Wherever You Will Go Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
my favorite the calling song. this song is really special. since my boyfriend sang it to me complete with our three other friends who played the drums, the guitar, and the bass, this became our song. It was my 18th b-day and he surprised me with this song. Knowing him, i never thought he would do such thing especially in front of bunch of people. It was the sweetest thing he has ever done for me. Ah...memories. |
|
| Dashboard Confessional – Carry This Picture Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
"Carry this picture for luck Kept in a locket Tucked in your collar Close to your chest Make it a secret Shown to the closest friends" these lines remind me of Helga Pataki of the nicktoon Hey Arnold! She kept this locket with Arnold's picture in it because she got a secret crush on him and never lets anyone especially Arnold to find out about it, except ofcourse her bestfriend Phoebe. Anyway, good song. |
|
| Dashboard Confessional – A Plain Morning Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
i love this song! chris' voice was the most amazing that i've ever heard especially in this song. For me, this song is about this guy who's away from his girlfriend or wife and wanting to be back home to be with her again but that's not that easy because he's probably on a business trip or something. "it is colder than it ought to be in March" i think this means it's not supposed to be this cold in march but he feels colder because he's not with her. this is actually one my favorite lines in the song, the other one is "I'd like to hire a plane", meaning he'd like to do anything just to see her again. Those two lines are really sweet. This song also reminds me of my boyfriend because we're always apart. We actually live in two different places and we don't see each other that often. We barely talk to the phone, which the line "ANd the phone is always dead to me" kinda reminds me. Our situation is hard for both of us and a lot of my friends say that long distance relationships don't usually work but i believe that ours is different and whenever we get the chance to meet, we would make the most out of it. I know he loves me like what he always said, and with this song that kinda tells our story, i'll keep holding on. |

| Dashboard Confessional – This Bitter Pill Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
I don’t believe that Chris is such an ass. I’m glad that ShoppingCartMafia didn’t believe his friend. Why would he drink if he knows they have to perform? Think about it. And he’s too close to his fans to keep them away. He’ll never do such thing. I’ve never met Chris personally but I’m sure he’s such a nice guy based on the testimonials of his fans who already met him and been to DC concerts, their pics with him and the band, where Chris is shown hanging his arms around each fan and smiling big, the magazine articles featuring him, and ofcourse his songs. Everytime I listen to dc songs, even though I can’t actually relate to most of them because I’ve never experienced heartbreak before, but somehow I could feel the emotions and I know stuffs like that happen in real life. So if that time comes to me, I’ll just listen to dashboard songs and I won’t be feeling alone. Thank God for bringing Chris and Dashboard to us! |
