| R.E.M. – Drive Lyrics | 14 years ago |
i feel like its about freedom...."nobody tells you what to do" is a good illustration of this... but mostly because of the video. crowd surfing is something i have always attributed to freedom. you are in the air, listening to a kick ass song from your favorite band...pretty much just awesome. |

| Barenaked Ladies – What A Good Boy Lyrics | 14 years ago |
Jews and incest? Share the drugs dude. The chains are metaphoric. But here is my meaning I take from it. We are all born with a blank slate...hence the "what a good boy." He has obviously done something in his life that has given him some sort of bad reputation. Therefore, his name comes with some shame, hence the "hairshirt." People try to ridicule him(/them?) before they have a chance to explain or defend themselves ("take our first breath"). So at this point, he is wondering whether anyone will "give a damn" whether he succeeds or fails. Where the girl comes in, I have not thought about that yet. |

| Barenaked Ladies – Shoebox Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| Damn...I always thought it was "shoebox of life" until now too. It even inspired me to keep a shoebox of all the important random crap in my life. It's still a nice thing to do but there goes the explanation of why I do it... | |
| Barenaked Ladies – Lovers in a Dangerous Time Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| Until reading these comments, I always thought it was more like a Romeo & Juliet type of situation, where two lovers make it into a dangerous situation (or "time") to be together. But now it makes more sense to describe today's society, where everyone seems to spread their love around a bit too much...and we no longer know what true love actually is. | |
| White Zombie – More Human Than Human Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| i like to do drugs too. | |
| Scorpions – Rhythm Of Love Lyrics | 16 years ago |
For such a great song there are very few comments. I think it means that sometimes on the road with work and everything his love keeps him going when shit is down. Brings back great memories from when my dad used to blast it in our living room on friday nights. |

| Dio – Rock 'n' Roll Children Lyrics | 17 years ago |
it actually kinda reminds me of the children's crusade... during the crusades, they figured hey, the enemy won't hurt children...so they all sent their kids off to go and fight. but they all drowned and shit. okay...nerdy time over... great song. |
| Papa Roach – Scars Lyrics | 18 years ago |

| System of a Down – She's Like Heroin Lyrics | 18 years ago |
System of a down seems to mock people in general in their songs. to me,this one shows how a lot of people see women as objects, rather then actual people by comparing a woman to heroine. |
| Red Hot Chili Peppers – Don't Forget Me Lyrics | 18 years ago |
I agree with on_a_plain_11... it is about God...but kind of a weird interpretation. What I think about it is the first part of each verse, like "i'm a meth lab, first rehab..." is the man on earth talking about his problems. then i think the second part is kind of what God would respond to it: "I'm the rainbow in your jail cell..." meaning he is the good outcome of any bad thing. then the verse says that no matter how much shit we get into in our lives, God will never forget us when we die, and he will always be there for us. |
| Avenged Sevenfold – M.I.A. Lyrics | 18 years ago |
okay...so we have established that this song is about war, and it may have some religious references. so can't we just say it is about war in general since religion is the main cause of just about every war fought today??? |
| Black Sabbath – Heaven And Hell Lyrics | 18 years ago |
For me, the lines "The world is full of kings and queens Who blind your eyes ant steal your dreams..." kinda reminded me of Plato's allegory of the Cave and all of the false teachings in the world (I dont mean to make it sound all philosophical and nerdy or anything...) |
| Pink Floyd – [The Wall Concept] Lyrics | 18 years ago |
Actually, this entire album tells a story about a guy who got into drugs, went through depression and all that shit, and it was as if there was a wall separating him from society. in "another brick in the wall," it is like eveone of his new ideas is just that...another brick in the wall. in Hey You, nobody can hear any of his cries for help or guidance, so the wall xcompletely cuts him off from society. |
