I don't think anyone got the two references this song made to an obscurely known screamo band in the mid nineties called Portraits of Past. "KQED Equals Volvo" was the name of one of their songs, and in another song called Bang Yer Head, a guitar melody sounds strangely like the tune Darryl is singing when he says "Knowing you fit in... And, and, you fit in!" That's my two cents. |
