Why has no one commented on this song? It's amazingly beautiful. I think there's a girl who can make people fall in love with her because of everything about her; it's not a single feature, it's all of it. It's in the way she smiles; "you got one of those smiles I've heard about, that can tear a soul in two." The way she touches; "when we touch electricity gets through." The way she talks; "you talk with tongues of angels." The way she moves; "my heart aches to see you sway like that." He's so scared of being taken in by it but the way it's sung sounds like it's too late already and the sound of the feedback highlights that pain. He knows it's too late. It's so beautifully descriptive of the pain felt by unrequited love and/or how people have the power to hold hearts in their hand. |

'The Fear' is her fear of becoming like what she describes in the rest of the song however she can slowly see herself being taken in by it at the same time. I heard it was also about Cheryl Cole although I'm not too sure how true that is. |

I don't know what anyone would mean by that tbh Becci. Kind of a controversial comment there?! I'm pretty sure the song is actually called 'Distant Doubloon' not DOUBLOOM but I'd more or less go with lucee on this one because it kind of reminded me of the adventure in Treasure Island. There could be some other meaning deeper than that but on the surface that's what it seems to be about. 'Metaphors are easy just to talk about it, growing up with spacers I can live without' that could possibly be a true and honest comment (maybe the song is a big metaphor) because there's always more to the story than it seems, even in fiction (sometimes it reflects the author's life). I was thinking it could be about someone who's the puppet and someone else is pulling their strings. The storyteller and the characters - the characters do as they are told. Maybe they've become someone else they're not, almost dependent - 'so don't dwell upon your wooden leg'. 'Your fucking limp is boring me' -the fakeness within it all could have become tired and old that everyone can now see through it. Just a brief thought, I'm not too sure if there's much to comment on or even a deeper meaning here! The View are unpredictable, it could have just stemmed from a mad night. Anyway, I would have thought there would have been more comments, especially on more of the songs from the new album. |

I love this song. It's so true at how people look at publicity and becoming famous. 'I'll look at the sun and I'll look in the mirror' is obviously about people looking to the papers to gage their success (The Sun and The Mirror newpapers). It's pretty self explanatory and I just love the way it's taking a good look at the people we're forced to idolise. Young girls care about getting famous so much they will take their clothes off to get there and it's a sad thing when you see what it's come to. |

It's "Their words are dull and syllables slow" And you made a mistake on the first verse. Caught.. :) I LOVE This Song. I believe he loves a girl for the simplicity of her but also everything she stands for. He doesn't know her well but takes a chance because she's a rarity? She has a radio heart, Because everyone knows 'Video killed the radio star'. She's still into the radio when everyone's leapt through time but she knows what she knows and knows what she wants. That's just my interpretation of it anyway. I don't know if it's right but I enjoy listening to the song anyway. I can't believe there aren't more comments on this song! |

| I reckon this song on the surface is what it says. "You know that I wont let you fall" is about a long standing friendship where trust and being there for each other were always the foundations of it, but now Ray is becoming withdrawn and the breakdown starts "I'm treading on my tippy toes" this is as if Ray is so withdrawn hes worried about stepping on his feelings but also hes tip-toeing around Ray because he fears making him worse. Ray has gone in the wrong direction or at least a direction that differs from his friend but a direction that cant be good or healthy because it will be a waste of a life; "They say the future's out to get you".The monster Ray has become (seen in the video) represents the unrecognisable characterRay now is but his friend has to shoot someone down in the end, meaning he has to either cut ties with Ray or be cruel to be kind in some way or another. Yet he will try his best but hes become "So tired of being worried about Ray" that he's ready to give up. So what started off so positively is negative in the end. | |
