Don't Let Me Fall In Love With You! Lyrics
You got sapphire eyes and that's ok.
I've seen that before, it's nothing new.
You can look at me that way if you want.
But don't let me fall in love with you.
You got one of those smiles I've heard about, that can tear a soul in two.
Almost afraid to see you happy.
I just might fall in love with you.
Don't let me fall, don't be so cruel!
Don't let me fall. If I can't have you!
When we touch electricity gets through.
It's a good trick if you can do it.
To make me fall in love with you.
Don't let me fall, don't be so cruel!
Don't let me fall.
If I can't have you!
You talk with tongues of angels.
And there is grace in all you do.
My heart aches to see you sway like that.
Oh, please, please don't let me fall in love with you!
Please, please don't let me fall in love with you!
I've seen that before, it's nothing new.
You can look at me that way if you want.
But don't let me fall in love with you.
You got one of those smiles I've heard about, that can tear a soul in two.
Almost afraid to see you happy.
I just might fall in love with you.
Don't let me fall. If I can't have you!
It's a good trick if you can do it.
To make me fall in love with you.
Don't let me fall.
If I can't have you!
And there is grace in all you do.
My heart aches to see you sway like that.
Oh, please, please don't let me fall in love with you!
Please, please don't let me fall in love with you!

It's amazingly beautiful.
I think there's a girl who can make people fall in love with her because of everything about her; it's not a single feature, it's all of it. It's in the way she smiles; "you got one of those smiles I've heard about, that can tear a soul in two." The way she touches; "when we touch electricity gets through." The way she talks; "you talk with tongues of angels." The way she moves; "my heart aches to see you sway like that." He's so scared of being taken in by it but the way it's sung sounds like it's too late already and the sound of the feedback highlights that pain. He knows it's too late.
It's so beautifully descriptive of the pain felt by unrequited love and/or how people have the power to hold hearts in their hand.
