Even though this song is about traveling to a different country and experiencing different languages...I have my own personal feeling to the song like many others as well. Different names for the same thing comes off to me, when I first heard it, like a song that talks about words within our own language that have different meanings too them...but sort of look the same if not sound the same...its just how one uses the words within their sentence when talking to someone. If that makes sense. I love the drum pattern on this song too. And the faint chant that goes on. This could also go passed words and onto people....maybe I am going a little further than what I am suppose to... Haha. |

Depression is definitely the source of this song. A depression so strong and powerful that it causes this person to contemplate suicide to get away from it all. Whatever it is that this person is suffering through had to deal with love from a relationship, friendship or even family. Im going to tag this to a relationship as it would seem the most logical situation to use for this. Just wanting to be loved by that person who you used to call you own hurts a lot when trying to get passed things. Self loathing sets in making you feel the lowest of all. Seeing things in black and white just says that this person has become dead. The only one that brought color to their life isnt there anymore. Never getting it right could be that they mustve been at fault or it was something that the person they were with just wasnt satisfied with who they were. You should try. Saying to keep on going obviously. All in all...this song is an awesome song. Something that can seriously hit one close to home, but also add inspiration to keep going. ...It's just an emotion that is only temporary. -_- |

First Verse: I believe this verse has to deal with being stubborn. He is out on a tightrope, or more like against the wall...pressured, but he is toughing it out. All the odds are against him and he is being too stubborn to ask for help. Thus the wind, which could be his inner thought talking to him is saying that its okay to call out for help. Second Verse: He's out and about living life...very freely at that. Not caring about responsibilities or anything of that nature. But of course with this negligence he is falling behind on EVERYTHING. The only way for him to escape is by going out or whatever it is that sets his mind from these troubles. Inner thought kicks in..."Wise up. Take care of your responsibilities." Bridge: Changing faith and ways...making your bed and living (or laying) in it, meaning to do just that. Well it seems that he had some emotions to get off of his chest but couldnt because he was too afraid to. His girl was very concieted and figured that she would do REALLY well in Hollywood...but that didnt turn out so well. Meanwhile he was suffering based off the type of person she had became..and when she returned he tried to love her and but there wasn't anything left to give her because he was hurting for however long she was gone.
