(though i may agree with 'anferneee' that its most likely about a person that got eaten and killed by a vampire...) I have my own view of it; and its kinda depressing if you see it from my eyes... The way i see it is that: a perticular person has a dream or a goal he/she wants to achive. Everyone says that he/she cant do it![probabily cause the goal isnt possible, or the people arnt very nice/encouraging=[. ] but he/she doesnt care, he/she just tries for it anyway. Then, at the worst possible moment the Dream is Shattered!=[ now that perticular person cant forgive himself/herself knowing or thinking that everyone was right. When i think about this song i can imagine JT in his old van(instead of the kick-a$$ bus they use now[i think]) talking to his girlfriend/wife(i forget) on either the phone, or a labtop. TO ME this song is about this guy that has(or use to have) an awesome girlfriend that apparently now is keeping a secret from him, and he knows she's hiding something and it's killing both of them on the inside. What can he do if she doesn't talk?("she cant a way to tell me") He doesn't want to leave her("I'll wait for you, I cross my heart!") but he starts to feel worthless("dissolve and decay theres nothing left for me") because she can't tell him, and he can't figure it out("she cant a way to tell me i cant find the air").
