A friend of mine recently died in a tragic and violent manner, and this song reminds me of him, and I feel like it's might not be about a romantic breakup. |

The babylon references refer to living in the heart of an oppressive empire. It's used a lot on reggae.
La mano negra was a made up anarchist organization that the spanish authorities would blame violent acts on then scapegoat anarchists, and use it as an excuse to jail them, beat them, etc.. |

First of all his family is from trinidad. Second of all stop Jah (or in this case jaja) is just a shortened form of Jehovah, which is in turn the pronunciation of YHWH, the sacred name of God in judaism and therefore in christianity. You call someone fake because they speak about a god which you deny due to lack of knowledge. |

Bad Religion – Broken Lyrics

I feel this song is from greg graffin's point of view talking about these people. All of which are in someway alienated. The girl believes she is broken because no one has ever chosen her. The boy believes he is broken because that is what hes been told. Greg is saying that being cracked is a token, perfection doesn't exist, the great thing is imperfection, and we as a society refuse to see that. Through alienation we destroy ourselves. |

first of all baby, people from anywhere can worship "Jah".
Just not lest you be judged yourself.
Jah is just a shortening of Jehovah, which is translation of the pronunciation of YHWH, which is not meant to be pronounced anyway... YHWH being the name of the Judean(and therefore christian and muslim god) |

It's about the corruption and greed within humanity, and the hip hop industry, and how it takes away from what it is really about.

k-os – Hallelujah Lyrics

I disagree with Hyphnip. I believe this song is about finding the truth (whatever that may be to you, in this song it seems to be God) and the oppressive world around you subsequently falling apart.
The significance of babylon is this. Long ago the Hebrews were held captive in babylon for years and years, and babylon was attacked and invaded by the persians and they were allowed to go back to Judah. The phrase babylon is commonly used to indicate a powerful but oppressive place. |
