i think this song is about exes. Damien or someone else is still madly in love with his ex who is leading him on(mayb the muse for blowers daughter etc) and has got a new gf but he doesnt love her as much as his ex. "this has got to die i said this has got to stop this has got to lie down with someone else on top you can keep me pinned 'cause it's easier to tease" I think the 1st verse is in 2 bits, the first bit he is talking about his ex ,he knows she is leading him on and wants her to stop "but you can't paint an elephant quite as good as she and she may cry like a baby and she may drive me crazy 'cause i am lately lonely" |

i think this song IS about 2 people who had an affair, then the girl stops the affair. Damien or the man is basically asking who she loves more... "do you come together ever with him? is he dark enough enough to see your light? do you brush your teeth before you kiss? do you miss my smell? is he bold enough to take you on? do you feel like you belong? does he drive you wild? or just mildly free? what about me?" I also think the line "before one of us has accidental babies" actually does mean before either of them have babies with their respective partners, cos then it would be lots harder to leave. "and i know i make you cry i know sometimes you wanna die but do you really feel alive without me?" ^this bit is one of my all time fav parts of any song, Damien sings with such passion and sadness its gawgus. but what i really wanna know is.... WHO IS THE GIRL HE SINGS ABOUT IN HIS SONGS????? |

i think this song is about unrequited love. the guy/ girl loves someone they can't have but want so badly it's painful "World was on fire, no one could save me but you It's strange what desire will make foolish people do I'd never dreamed that I'd need somebody like you No, I'd never dreamed that I'd need somebody like you No, I don't wanna fall in love" The person who is in love is also angry at the object of their afeection cos they feel it is their fault that they are in love with them. I think it is a loveeeeeeely song and very true to life. |

i think the girl liked him from the start and he started to repciprocate the feelings. then people start to notice the changes in their relationship so gossip starts to spread. and he is questioned and totally gives it away by shaking and coughing. i think the title "Don't stand so close to me" is him saying dont stand so close to me or you'll give it away or dont stand so close to me cause he cant trust himself (?) |

i think this song is about a older man who is having a relationship with a younger naive girl"She's still too young".She is falling head over heels for him and he doesnt really like her that much"What I give to you Is just what I'm going through This is nothing new No, no, just another phase of finding what I really need". So he trys to make her not like him and trys to explain to her that he is not the one. but on the other hand it could just be about a older man and younger girl again who both really like eachother. but he knows it is wrong and she will end up getting hurt so he is trying to protect her by ending things. |
