i think there may be a few versions of this song or something because where it says: Why are you always in A fight with me on my song it says: Why do you always End up right back here anyway, to me this song could possibly be about a drug addiction or self mutilation. And I wondered why you came for all this After so long When it ripped into you like the son you never were And I don't think this is - what you wanted now - the first two lines could be about how he stopped the drug/cutting/whatever it is and now he's doing it again.. he doesn't understand why he's so addicted to it basically. i'm not sure about the third line, i have an idea but i'm keeping it to myself haha. the last line is pretty self explanitory, he doesn't want to be this way. It feels alright but that's a lie that's always near Sit around and blame the one that put you here - i love these lines, they're my favorite in the whole song.. this addiction, it convinces him that it makes everything okay, makes everything better.. but that's not true at all, it's lie he tells himself all the time. instead of blaming himself for it, he blames whoever drove him to this addiction Why do you always End up right back here - i like this line. i think he's almost asking the addiction how it always ends up coming back when he doesn't want it at all. You will always end up here - saying how he'll never be able to give it up, it'll always come back i may be wrong on soo many levels but thats my interpretation! i love marianas trench so much |

eminem is absolutely AMAZING! i despise rap music more than anything in the world but i have sooo so much respect for eminem. ive loved him since grade 5. this is probably one of my favorite songs by him, i love his deep, personal ones like this one. my favorite line has always been "remember when ronnie died and you said you wished it was me? well guess what, i am dead, dead to you as can be" i agree with everyone else, those lines have so much power to them . a lot of people hate eminem because of how much he swears and basically because he doesnt give a fuck what anybody thinks about him... but hes amazing, hes got so much potential.. i love him |

it's about cutting himself obviously. i think the whole song is absolutely amazing but there's two lines i really like.. "So what's one more excuse, guess I just like the abuse." because he's saying he can't help it, he has to keep cutting, it's an addiction now and he doesn't mind making up some more excuses as to why his wrists have slits on them. and "Is this pound of flesh enough and I'll cut away until you say enough" because it seems like he's almost trying to impress someone and until that person realizes how great he is and shows him they care, he's going to keep cutting himself. i could go on about every single line, it's like each one has a hidden message.. absoluuuutely amazing.. even the "Heartbeat, heartbeat" part. i looooove mariana's trench. |

i think this song is about a relationship that ended between him and some girl. i think this song is about his heroin addiction he used to have.. You never really wanted it You'll settle for a bit of it We started with a big bang And now it's coming back again - i think here he's saying that it started out that he only wanted to try it maybe to fit in or just for something to do and it didn't really matter, he just did it in his spare time and then all of a sudden he started craving it and depending on it basically. It'll wear you down and wear you down - i guess it's basically self explanitory. it's something that makes you seem happier and happier everytime you take it when in reality, if you don't have it, you're just getting more and more depressed. You didn't think you'd feel it all but you were wrong about it - i think he's saying that he tried it once and figured there'd be no harm in it since it was his first time but he got hooked right away?... Using like it's going out of style maybe just a little while - i think he's saying how he used it soo much, everyday, maybe even several times a day almost as if the next day there'd be no way to get anymore. This'll be the last time everytime's a last time - very self explanitory. he kept telling himself he was going to stop, going to quit, just one more time.. but one last time turned into a second time and then a third and so on... and as the last lines say, he regrets ever touching it because it probably screwed his whole life up.. |
