I think he's in love with a girl but they don't have time to see each other properly hence the "I've got to work and you've got to study" and they've decided not to go out with each other, but have remained friends. He's gone round to hers and they're sitting talking with each other and the girl's mum, but all he can do is stare at her lips and think about how much he likes her. He meets up to talk with her, but always leaves alone hence "late night talks with you, late night drives alone". He leaves without letting her know how he feels. |

| Polar Bear Club – Eat dinner, Bury the Dog, and Run Lyrics

'Bury the dog' is slang for sex, so I reckon the title means "turn up, eat dinner, sleep with her and then leave right after", but I'm not sure what relevance this has to the lyrics of the song.
I think the "200 gallons ago" refers to the distance he's travelled the whole night: driving home from work, finding the flowers on the floor and going weak in the knees, and then maybe going to see someone after that.
I'm thinking maybe about a break-up? Like, he's been at work, got home and found "flowers on the floor", felt weak, admitted he's a fuck-up and is now calling someone...seems to me like his girlfriend has left him while he was out and now he's calling her. I dunno. |

I don't think so, I think the whole feel of the song is involved with the slow tempo and although I like the faster version done by AK3, the slow one is better in my opinion. Plus, the vocals on the HWM version are much better. |

Yeah I always wondered about that beating up your wife line, cos the song seems really sweet and positive to me, but then there's that line which doesn't fit in... |

I love this song, the guitar melody is fantastic. The lyrics are just about what its like living in England; the contrast between the large amount of countryside and all the industrial areas, and how religion still seems to hang around in the air even though so many people seem to have left it. |

1999 isn't really that old. What i want to know is waht does "she had dumps like a truck" actually mean? Cos I don't think he means that she takes big dumps... |

This is one about the band's distaste for the police, and asks whetehr they actually are a service here to protect us or just a force to rule over us with, good stuff. |

This song is just about how great Crass were and how they walked the walk: "it was real, unmarketable, not the bullshit we were used to" |

The version I have has different words for the third verse...either way, this is an incredible song about trying to find work during the depression |

I love this song, its incredibly powerful. I feel that its about how workers feel that they have no power, and that they don't have the power to change anything, but if you look at the infamous 'lowly carpenter' (ie Jesus) he has changed the world, and many other people who have done manual labour have changed things. I think its about worker solidarity. |

| This Bike Is a Pipe Bomb – Grandpa Lyrics

Yeah, I think its about how the older generation always feel angry at younger generations. Like when Rymodee says 'my brother' I don't think he necessarily means actual blood relation, but another member of his generation. And how his 'father' or a member of an older generation hates the younger generations, and Rymodees wondering whether he'll be that bitter when he's older. That's just how I see it, anyway. |

Sell-out is a term thats thrown arond too lightly, because a lot of bands dont write songs like this and 'What We Worked For' etc before they sell-out...Im not accusing Against Me! of selling out, I do like their Fat Wreck stuff even though its incredibly inferior to their older stuff....anyway, enough about the money and more about the music: this song is incredible!! |

The "no truce..." bit in this song is soooooo good! Its about violent protest / revolution, the 'hands that beat us senseless' being the state. Its from a situation where the state is asking for a stop to violence against it, and Todd is just saying 'Fuck you, this is a war, and I'm going to tear this down' |

This song is about Chris' dad being a racecar driver, who used to drive a highly dangerous figure 8 shaped course sometimes, where crashes are inevitable. I know this is kinda obvious, but its a great song! |
