Marilyn Manson – Heart-Shaped Glasses (When the Heart Guides the Hand) Lyrics 18 years ago
This is a good song, it's very different from anything he's ever done, which is also good. If an artist doesn't transform, he/she remains stagnant, and never evolves, Manson is still as talented as ever. People who can't understand that, have maturing to do.

As for this song, it's obviously about a relationship, with sex. People say he may be referring to Dita, his ex wife. I think this song could also be about a pedophile, in a relationship with a young girl who reflects someone he cared for in the past.

Notice he says "Little girl, Little girl, you should close your eyes, that blue is gettin' me high." I think he's referring to her eyes, but also labeling her little girl makes me think she is possibly underage, that and this line- "Don't break, don't break my heart and I wont break your heartshaped glasses." Heartshaped glasses are something you would see a little girl wearing. The line "Kiss me it'll heal but it wont forget" could be about her losing her virginity to him.

Afterall the album is about sick romance.

The Used – The Bird and the Worm Lyrics 18 years ago
People keep mentioning Panic! At The Disco, they fucking suck. THEY-FUCKING-SUCK. The Useds older stuff is quite good, this song is not bad, it has a nice, dark atmosphere. Again, FUCK P!ATD! That shit is for 13 year old girls.

Nine Inch Nails – Burn Lyrics 18 years ago
I love the holy fuck out of this song. Also, Natural Born Killers came out on my 6th birthday, around the first time I heard a NIN song, which was "closer".

I'm not gonna waste my time typing out my thoughts on the song, because so many people have posted meanings, that my answer is collectively mixed in all of them.

BURN!

Nine Inch Nails – Closer Lyrics 18 years ago
I remember the first time I heard this song, I was about 6 or 7 years old, I loved the sound of the song, not really understanding the depth of it obviously...but I knew what Trent meant when he said "I wanna fuck you like an animal." Hearing that was humorous at the time, but the music was what got me hooked. I've been a NIN fan ever since.

Nine Inch Nails – Zero-Sum Lyrics 18 years ago
This song is epic. The reference, "all we're worth are just zeros, and ones." Can be referring to many things, but today, in our modern-digital world, we're all being registered into computers, binary, 0's and 1's...something so simple, that can represent so much, but can be destroyed in a matter of seconds, and all at our own fault. Shame on us.

Nine Inch Nails – The Great Destroyer Lyrics 18 years ago
This song is so fucking great, and it speaks for itself. We are all capable of being this great destroyer, some of us wear it on our sleeves, and some of us don't want to realize it.

Breath...us in...slowly.

Inhale the new power, like a toxic gas. It will alter your mind, all for the greater good.

Nine Inch Nails – Meet Your Master Lyrics 18 years ago
The person responsible for all this destruction has been captured, and now they're going to pay with their lives, torture first. "Come on down, come on down, come on down." Welcome to our hell, now that you're off your high-horse, you can see at our level, but we're still going to kill you. :)

Nine Inch Nails – In This Twilight Lyrics 18 years ago
This is the most touching song off the album for sure. really beautiful. It's obviously about the last sunset, maybe not for the planet, but for the human race. You notice how Trent speaks of a friendly connection between himself, and the sun, as if this experience would bring such peace to ones heart, that he/she would make such a connection. The song also seems to be about shedding regrets, and leaving behind your troubles, because "you can find a better a place in this twilight." Or in death, you will find peace. The picture being illustrated could definitely be a nuclear holocaust. The song is rather short, 3:33 seconds. As I noticed the running time, I decided to look up 3:33 proverbs, and found this. "The LORD curses the house of wicked people, but he blesses the home of righteous people."

Anyway, incredible song.
