P3N1X is an ass. trent would hate him also, something like this was up on the official page as a message to him.
fuck P3N1X . and fuck anyone who agrees with him.
yes--I agree with you here wholeheartedly.
yes--I agree with you here wholeheartedly.
What i get from this is that it could be showing a representation of western civilization and its tendancy to force its way into other cultures to the point where they become dependant on western ways almost like its people are dependant on the air they breathe. Represented by the first 4 lines.
The following 4 lines show the hold taking over the other cultures "Anything we want, anything" we get.
The next 4 lines
Persuasion (slowly) Coercion (slowly) Selection (breathe) Assimilation (us in)
Show the means by which it all takes place, and lastly the final effect in the last 3 lines of them breathing western culture in
Yeah, it's our way or nothing. And we come from the standpoint of 'we are here to help". It's something we used to do for a true greater good, but now it's only a phrase and masks the government's true motives.
Penis, WTF?!?!?
PS, that was in regards to the first comment. Suffice it to say, I don't agree.
It's simple.
There is a higher power amongst us. We don't trust them. But there is the sudden outbreak of Parepin in the water. It's making us more submissive. We'll listen to anything they say.
They want to be one with us, and us one with them. We down want to fight, so we'll "breathe them in", let them become a part of our lives.
They will not force theirselves upon us, so their doing it "slowly...".
They lead us to believe that it will all be for our benefit. There will be "persuasion, coercion, submission, assimilation", but we don't care.
They are leading us to believe that it's all for "The Greater Good."
Man, it really pays to do research on Year Zero ^_^.
he's a dick too
I guess I wasn't the only one then. I know Trent had said that he had been listening to Public Enemy a lot for this album;(which makes sense considering the context)but I didnt think he'd actually put in a track that had a hip-hop feel to it. Bravo, Trent.
I agree with Touwe. The theory goes along with the setting of the album. A global spreading dystopia.
btw. it's not selection, it's submission.
really cool track!
It should be: Persuasion Coercion Submission Assimilation
