To me this song is about anger, and how Dave seems to be giving a warning about how if someone is too angry or "wound up" then they'll just lash out with violence ("I have a choice between the bat and the belt"). This anger could be a result of paranoia about cheating in a relationship..Like someone has admitted to cheating ("spare me confession it's confession you sell)") and the partner is bottling up the anger until the moment it inevitably comes pouring out in a fit of violence. The way Dave screams the bridge just seems to emphasise this theory. I could be wrong, that's just how I perceive this song. Totally immense, one of the best songs on one of the bets albums. Mattehboy101 You're bland and repetitive so screw you =] The Foo are one of the very few bands around today that just can't be called repetitive; they have an awesome amount of variation in their music. Dave Grohl can scream and sing (quite a rare talent), and the different emotions provoked by the entire back catalogue of the Foo Fighters are on an entirely new level. Tbh This song is really really awesome But it seems to take on a kind of dark edge, with Gwen's repetition of "I love you". The other comments that have touched on the subject of there being more to this song than perhaps meets the eye (ear?) have got a really good point. Hmm... Even though they're new to the music scene I can tell they're gonna be part of the Scene craze. Which is seriously annoying because I quite like them. This song is dead catchy and boppy. I think it's about a girl not showing public displays of affection to the guy, and he wants to keep the physical side of their relationship "for the bedroom". Which is such a sweet sentiment. Looking forward to hearing more from You Me At Six they're so cute - and they wear Drop Dead clothes, so they can't be bad xD |

People might not like Britney But personally I think, even if she has let herself go in recent years, she was extremely talented back in the day of her soaring pop career. Seriously, I think she had an amazing voice, not extremely versatile maybe, but more than enough capability to carry off powerful love ballads such as this one, as well as "Don't Let Me Be the Last to Know", "I'm Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman" and my personal all-time Britney favourite "Everytime". You have to feel sorry for her. I know I do - letting her life go down the pan when in the past she was a very good singer, famous for her talent not for her actions and mostly an all-round nice person. |

I used this song as the tune to a video I made to commemorate my year group when we left Year 11. It made me cry so much, it just means so much to me, and it was so relevant to that period of my life. It's obvious that it's about the end of a relationship and how the singer is denying it being the end, how he's desperate for it not to stop being. Absolutely gorgeous i love it. |

I think that this song is about a girl at a carnival that thelead singer knows, maybe is/was friends with, but then fell in love with, and now dreams of a future with her: "We could live together...". ?! Only one comment on this song? It doesn't really sound much like WAS, but at some points Keith's voice reminds us that it really is them. I think Easykill is about a guy noticing that his girlfriend isn't happy in the relationship, but he's nervous about bringing up the subject in case it results in their splitting up: "I didn't like the look you wore A little too alarming to ignore". Great song, I'd love to hear more songs like this from the Scientists. |
