just got this song today and i'm listening to it on repeat. cd's going to be fantastic. i think this song is definitely about losing someone and needing them to keep living the same way they used to. they feel wrong, or faceless, without this person that they once had and they need them to survive. |

how has only one person commented? and in 2007? wow. only reason i haven't yet is cuz i just recently found this site. anyway, best song on this cd in my opinion. fantastically inspirational and uplifting. it just makes me feel great when i listen to this song. the world just floats away. shame this band broke up. they were fantastic and need to produce more music. |

i'm actually really glad they never mention god in their songs. that way people like me can love their music too. Red is one of my favorite bands but i am barley religious and do not like bands who mention god. they can have the god implication, i don't care about that, but i take this song as an terrible fight with a friend that made them into enemies, and he wants to "overtake you" and "you'll come to get me but you'll end up dead". i dunno, that's how i see it. |

can't believe no one has commented, this is one of my favorites on the album. this song is a lot like imperfection on their first one. it's about not being satisfied with your life or having everything go wrong, but having a friend there to make you feel better. love it. |

very good song. i personally love it because i am not religious myself and their songs can be taken the God way or the relationship person/person kind of way. that is the way i take this song, he is mad at the world and wants somebody to come and save him, as rettemich said. i know they are christian and are talking about God, but i love skillet because they write their songs so you can take them so many different ways. can't wait for awake =D |

great song =] not the best off the record but still pretty effing amazing. this song is pretty much about drugs it seems like. you could interpret it as a relationship gone wrong, but it seems like he's addicted to the drugs and can't stop the vicious circle. "i swear i'll never do it again, but then i keep on giving up, i gotta turn my world around because it keeps on knocking me down" yeah. |

my favorite song off this album so good. but some of the lyrics are wrong here. instead of "it's calming down outside" it's acutally "it's coming down outside" and instead of "no more inner lies" it's "no more little lies" but otherwise it's good! =] absolutely love this song. |

okay obviously none of you have read the book. he was depressed AND addicted. der. he had a fucked up past, i.e. depressed. so then he turned to drugs and became addicted! great album, great book. really teaches you something about drugs. |

first, this is my favorite song off this cd. no doubt. i heard somewhere (i think it was their site) that this was Brent's hardest song ever to write because it was about telling his parents to just let go of him and let him live his own life. he is trying to tell them that in order for him to be happy he needs them to let him go and let him do what he wants. and telling him goodbye is giving him a 'second chance' to do that. |

such a phenomenal song, great meaning to it. definitely one of my favorites, very close with Second Chance. i think we all love their slower songs cuz it sounds more like older shinedown, like off of Leave a Whisper. the soft but hard stuff like What a Shame, If You Only Knew, etc. at least that's how i feel. BUT DONT GET ME WRONG I STILL LOVE NEW SHINEDOWN!!!! the hard stuff is great! =] |
