wow, foxtrot41, there are SO many problems with your post. let's start with songs that ringo ACTUALLY wrote: "octopus's garden" and "don't pass me by" are the only two songs attributed to only him (although he had significant help on them). "what goes on" is attributed to lennon/mccartney/starkey "i wanna be your man", "with a little help from my friends", and "if you've got trouble" were all written by lennon/mccartney. "good night" was written by lennon. the other four songs you mentioned aren't even written by any of the beatles, they're all COVERS: "act naturally" - johhny russel, voni morrison (originally performed by buck owens) "boys" - luther dixon, wes farrell (originally performed by the shirelles) "honey don't" - carl perkins "matchbox" - blind lemon jefferson and finally to quote you word for word "don't let your ignorance make you look stupid. don't comment on something before knowing if it's true or not." |

| i actually agree with weekendwarrior. when i first heard this song, i knew it couldn't have been written by these guys, so i looked it up, and realized it was a john lennon song and downloaded it. after listening to them back to back, it seems that william can put the haunting sound in the lyrics that they need for the song to come across just right. but kudos to lennon for writing an amazing song! | |

regardless of what this song is actually about, the first verse really caught my attention the first time i heard it, it's pretty much how i'm feeling right now...about to graduate college with no plans as of now "looks like tomorrow is coming on fast"-- i'm going to graduate in 2 months, but where did the last 4 years go? "seen better times, but who has not?"-- completely stressed out about graduation/life after college, but man it's been fun love it either way |

lately i've really been getting into dylan...a lot anyways, when i heard this song for the first time, i honestly had to start it over after i heard the last stanza...it was my feelings put into words exactly the way that i wasn't able to...he seems to really have a knack for that it really helped me put a jerk of a guy in the past and move on... thanks bob! |
