Hmm, to me this song seems to be about younger folks trying to do things differently and not taking heed of an older person's advice or wisdom.
"We turn our heads not to see them
And you turn yours not to see us"
To me that kind of reminds me of how when someone becomes of age they leave their nest, etc. Making the same mistakes that those before them did, but then not bothering to listen to anyone and still trying to prove something that the older generation already has the answer to. |

I agree; my all time favorite 2007 song. I think it's just about how the singer doesn't necessarily understand someone; I have a feeling they will like to learn/understand the person more, but they also a bit fed up with the lies/fables/made-up stories they tell. |

I can relate to this song. It's mainly about how she is in love with this guy that she is romantically involved with, but he seems distant. She wants more from the relationship, but he seems disinterested. But then she is somewhat aware that he may perhaps love her (perhaps he has never said this "sentence" to her before and she longs for it). But then she is not too sure of this. This song has a longing/sad tone to it. She wants for him to want her, she hopes for it, but is sadden by their stagnant relationship. |

The song is not about her going to rehab you dumb asses. It is her reaction to the film Alphaville. Actually, she stole the whole idea from the film. The "one word" is the word LOVE. It is so damn obvious. It amazes me how all of you lack common sense.
Think of it; when someone tells you that they love you, most people become silent... either they are thinking about what they are going to say or they are in shock. If her lover is "silent" then it means that he doesn't "love" her which can leave her to go "mad" or in other ways, depressed, etc. And people do lie when they say that they "love" you. These stories are usually retold by generation, after generation.
