to me, this song is about two things.
1) hiding
and
2) fading.

this song reminds me of a guy i used to love; i had a really hard time getting over him. i relate to this song in regards to trying not to think about the person anymore, letting them fade.

It's pretty obvious what this song is about... THE FADE AWAY. Oh you know, the whole thing when someone that you were sort of or perhaps (and even worse) was seeing all of the sudden falls of the face of the earth.
Probably the most cowardly way to end something.
