I agree with "silencebeckons". I think that this song is basically telling a person that they should go ahead and mess up their life only to impress somebody if it's what they really want. But it is clearly stating that it is not the correct thing to do, thus "it's only just a matter of time before you get down and out" |

this song remimds me so much of myself. I graduated from high school when i was seventeen and I had no idea what i wanted to do with my life. I was scared to go to college, so everytime I heard this song, it brought my spirits up. I am now in college.One day at college, this guy told me "I thought I saw fire in your eyes" and he did not say anything else, and I did not want to ask why he said that and it had sounded so beautiful, i was afraid that his explanation would ruin what i had thought of when he said that. I thought this was ironic because I had felt connected to this song before. Anyway, its not like anyone cares but i just thought i'd share my "seventeen ain't so sweet" story |
