I remember way back when (before Beautiful Sharks was released), the lyrics section of the SFK website had commentary by Paul, and he referred to this as his favourite SFK song. Of course, that was half a dozen albums ago... And I always assumed that the 'last day of April' was a reference to Walpurgis Night, I've no idea why.

I doubt this song contains any statement about airlines; gunnmafia has it down with the escapism. The cockpit is too small because it's just a model aircraft, but the kid can still pretend.

It's fairly obviously about a boy who dreams of flying jet fighters and who gets shot down in Iraq (SAM being a surface-air missile). I guess the message at the end is that killing, even on orders during war, still gets you a place in Hell.

No, it's matte, as in not glossy. I think this song is about the breakdown of a relationship where she can't even remember why she was in it in the first place.
