I think this is about forbidden love as well, taking into consideration Rozz' bisexuality, and the crazed religious right represented by the KKK. Also, when I hear "dance in your white sheet glory" I get the impression of a double-metaphor, referring both to the KKK, and two lovers "dancing" in the sheets. |

This makes me think of sexual repression. Not being able to lose it (virginity) for real, so you have to lost it to your mind with fantasies. Perhaps it's a forbidden or socially unacceptable form of love like homosexuality. No one outside, no one who hasn't experienced it, really understands. |

| The Sisters of Mercy – Marian Lyrics

He's drowning under the pressures of the world, and reaching out to Marian for comfort. I think a lot of people can relate to this. Music-wise, this is one of the most depressive songs I've ever heard. I love it. |

It's pretty obvious, this is about seizing the day and making the best of each moment. The outro part is just beautiful, with the clock ticking in the background. |

| The Chameleons – Don't Fall Lyrics

I think it's about not giving in to the pressures of the world, not suffocating under it all. I think some of it has to do with the influence of mushrooms too, probably a bad trip. "It's a freak out Nothing's familiar" |

I think this is talking about someone who just wants to be left alone, and ignore everything going on around him. I see it as a call to action. Then again, it could be about someone with extreme social anxiety, who's reluctant to join the adult world of mundane jobs and such. |

| Bauhaus – The Spy in the Cab Lyrics

It seems to be in reference to a taxi-cab's token system. It times how long you've been riding, and when it's time for you to get off, you pay the amount calculated in miles by the taxi cab's counter. Though it could be a reference to something else. |

| Bauhaus – Double Dare Lyrics

It's about having the balls to stand up, stand out, and do what you want. Stand for something, be a hoodlum, be a freak because no one else has the courage to. Bauhaus is daring you to do what you want, even if you're stoned for it. |

This isn't about Bauhaus' fans. It's about the audience that hates them; like the audience during the Bauhaus/NIN tour. The audience that couldn't even respect one of the bands that started gothic music. If it weren't for Bauhaus, NIN wouldn't be shit. |

Extremely creepy song. The lyrics alone aren't all that frightening, but combined with the background loops and the eerie woodwind instrument, it can make you piss yourself. I sware, I couldn't sleep one night because I listened to this right before bed. |
