I always thought it was "By the choir we break the quiet" but I'm probably mistaken^^
it's such a beautifull song but I can't really figure out what it means...I guess it's about a relationship but for some reason they can't be together, and now he's telling her when she's confused or hurt that she just has got to shut her eyes and think how beautifull it was when they were together, and to always hold on to that feeling of their "secret place"... or something in that direction I think =)

I think this song is about a boy who has got feelings for a girl but never really said to her(but she knows). He feels like everything he ever wished for is now fading and she's the only one who can help him out, He needs her to guid him to safety and no one else can do that except the girl. He doesn't want to wait forever for her to feel the same about him as he does about her. and now he realises that she was the one who was/is his signal fire, and took him out of his dreamworld, he now knows that he to needs more then just to love someone...That's my interpitation or however you may spell it ^^. I just like this song sooooo much and I don't really care what it really means aslong as I can find my one explenation for it!! and If people don't like that Snow Patrol is called "the Patrol" then what do you think of "the snowies" =p |

for me this song is about a guy who doesn't know what to do 'cause of a girl. He really wants to be with her but when he's with her it's like everything goes wrong, she's his krypronite, and now he hopes that when it all will be over(his feelings for her)that they still will be friends "I really don’t mind what happens now and then. As long as you’ll be my friend at the end" but he knows it's his choice to make " I feel there is nothing I can do, yeah" about his feelings and what the girl wants.....it's a beautifull song and deep lyrics wheter I'm right or wrong about them=) |

I'm probably wrong but this songs seems to me like sombody you loved/love very much but he's got cancer "Your hair was long when we first met";"Not much hair left on his head" but that nobody noticed that he had cancer 'cause they were so happy togheter "And history books forgot about us and the bible didnt mention us" and 'cause she/he loved him/here so much, that it was here "sweetest downfall"...I'm probably wrong but a seems like a good explanation;) A beautifull but sad song if see it like I do!! |

for me this song is about sombody how is confused and is in a stage of his life that he doesn't know what to do and that he has to find himself again. He knows he'll find himeself again but he needs his time and he feels like nobody cares what is happening to him he feels alone, so he's going on a journey(figuraly)to find himeself again and come better out of it, cause at the moment everything just sucks... |
