you know i feel this song is about self mutilation (hence the lines) as glass enters the vein. silk feelings hurt the idea that what once hurt is now good and what once was good now hurts. perahps a metaphor for a realitionship?but i lean more towards self mutatlation because thats what i seem to be gettin from most of the lines in this song "cups spill what holds, what holds, what holds tommorrow" the blood from your veins that keeps u alive "clenching the fist, raising the brow." the pain you feel while commiting the mutatilation "justice shines in her dark eyes." she feels right in what shes doing "as an amber sky drips a tear upon a sunset" perhaps the pain and stress shes putting on everyone around her "this is seraplis dream. ten crowns drop" i couldn't find out waht the word seraplis meant to save my life so i can't give an authentic interpatation of this line "parchment paper crumbles, when the curtain falls. shade this tribulation in pastels" i couldn't get anything from this either "the river holds the color you describe as love" the river is her viens and the red blood that she desires to see everytime she cuts herself thus i belive this is about self mutatlation but it can be seen as a 1000 different things |

what i seem to be getting from this song is 1:"Traced in a wet sand her name in perfect cursive. A love letter to the crescent moon." what i get from that is its written in sand which shows the realtionship in its frailness yet its perfect so metaphorically it saying how it may be perfect but it won't last forever 2:"By tommorrow it will be gone I told her. There is no tommorrow she said" i believe this is connected the last line which says"She used to be so right. So right about everything. saying basically a chick can say she loves and u and this is gonna be like this great froever but it doesn't mean it will. In this case it didn't 3:"I can feel her in a bikini of coiled snakes dancing into the hiss of the wind. Postcards from a paradise in flames." This i get alot of thing but for the first sentence i see this as a metaphor for her bikini and beauty being linked to something more evil and sinster like a snake. The 2nd line makes me think of maybe a honeymoon gone wrong perhaps? It has some what of a beach feel to the whole song. 4:"She used to be so right. So right about everything."
