Junkyard God Lyrics
My knuckles are bleeding on your front door
and these flowers are wilting in the rain.
They were for you and now they are for no one.
They are irrelevant as mercenaries in times of peace.
They are smoke twisting off the lips of a movie star.
Here is a boy with paper skin who longs to touch the girl of broken glass.
She loves it when he wears his skin like that.
In tatters.

I have no fucking clue, but, Pig Destroyer fucking owns. \m/
this song is obviously about a guy that would do anything for a girl that wants nothing to do with him, and even though he knows that, he doesn't care and continues to get hurt. she loves making him feel horrible.
This is about the girl that plays with your mind. You'd give your heart, mind, and soul for her. However, she only loves that fact about you. "They were for you and now they are for no one." That line is the realization of that fact, and how your love/lust has turned into a hatred.
love these lyrics
to me its about a girl that just wants to see a guy beg for her for the sake of wanting to feel appreciated. she doesnt care about him anymore but she still wants to be wanted by him...fuck...all i can say is fuck.

Insane.
Snazzy drumming.
Basically sums of the theme of this entire record.
The main character has become the Prowler in The Yard, tearing out his knuckles because so many boundaries have already been crossed as far as what's been torn out of him emotionally... there's nowhere left to go. He's reached the peak of new romanticism as nihilism. Basically, hate.
JR Hayes had to have spent some time behind bars to write shit as despotically amazing as he does. But I do love the concept of a Junkyard God.
