this is simple enough. It's about a woman who's role is to be a housewife and obey. The woman goes to kill the man who wont accept her to be anything but this housewife. |

| And One – Military Fashion Show Lyrics

military fashion show refers to industrial. The kids who are industrial dress in camo and military type clothing. As far as the "girlfriends" thing, it's saying that the guy can sleep with the girls and have fun with them but they'll never be a steady girlfriend. |

It kinda sounds like she's hooking. She says, "so we put on our eyeliner and a bit of glitter dust. neon streets are full of lust." It sounds like she was walking the streets, looking for a guy. Then they mention the morning and how the guy doesn't wake up and no one will be able to reach him on the phone and how the BBC (british news station) will be talking about it all afternoon. |

i don't think this is about rape. This looks more like a relationship where the girl was pressured into sex. I think a rape song from Emilie would be much more sad and angry. |

Do I see another wonderful song about the war and bush?
I really like the "it's a rich man's war but it's the poor that fight" part. I totally agree. |

| The Dresden Dolls – Bad Habit Lyrics
|
On the Dresden Dolls website, a fan complained about this song saying that it provoked people to cut themselves (although at the end she regrets it)
"looking back it was all maltreating
every thought that occurred misleading
makes me want to give myself a beating...."
Amanda replied and told the person that it was about a bad habit she has with cutting/chewing/etc. the skin around her nails.
Just a thought... >.> |

| Emilie Autumn – Shalott Lyrics

The Lady of Shalott is my favorite poem. It's about a girl who is locked in a tower alone and only allowed to see the world through mirrors. She weaves beautiful art everyday with colored thread. One day, she sees Lancelot and falls in love with him. She breaks the mirrors and a horrible storm starts up and she is forced to get on a boat that she carves her name on and dies in the water. |
