I'm not positive about these lyrics, especially the beginning, so if anything's wrong, just tell me, and I'll edit.
I think the meaning of this song is pretty obvious, and the chorus definitely helps clarify. Basically, think of others not just yourself and help others. We've had so much time on earth and yet so many of others never do reach out to others. She's been dreaming of that happening. And also, there's that one verse with bad parts of life in it, the things we need to try to fix.

This song is so sad. I see it as being about a girl who doesn't feel like she fits anywhere, by "she floats." I do have to admit, though, I think the screaming is unnecessary. It makes me rather not listen to the song again, but without the screams, I really like it, even though it's sad. |

I normally really like Avril Lavigne's music, but this not so much. It's pretty shallow, and basically describes what goes on in high school whether Avril meant to or not. I can understand why people like it, though, because I definitely have to admit the tune is catchy. If only the words were different. |

This is my absolute favorite song! I might be wrong, but I don't think this song is about a drug addiction. I see it as her falling in love with someone who doesn't love her, changing her and maybe pulling her down, while the guy is unaffected, him being the catalyst. The drug addiction is just symbolizing that. Then in the second verse it's the other way around. That's what I think at least. It's a pretty complicated song and you can probably find lots of possible meanings. |

I know it's about her admiring another musician because I've heard that before. Have you ever noticed that in the part, "another lonely night" the background music is a tune to this other song. I don't know what it's called, but I've heard it in a movie. Basically, that probably is by some musician she does admire. Kind of neat, actually. Anyway, I love this song. Forgot to mention that. :-) |

Oh, and also about the part where she's "trying to find her umbrella," I think she's talking about how she wants to try to get out of all the pressure and to feel better emotionally, but she can't seem to figure out how. It's an amazing song. |

I love this song. It's so beautiful. I interpret this song as being about her feeling too much pressure and basically "under the weather" just in a different way. Kind of like she's "under the weather" emotionally. |

I love this song! I think it's about her friend going off to fight as a soldier and falling in love when he gets back. I think the main message in this song is pretty much said out word for word in the chorus:

Basically it's just saying everything works out in the end. |
