Pretty.In.Punk--How could it be the "Midsummer Night's Dream" Helena? She doesn't get cut to pieces by a lover, does she? If so I don't remember it, and that seems like it'd be a pretty important part of the story. Plus the 'Fits (with whatever prefix you'd like) typically do songs about movies, not so much (or at all) plays. |

It's about how they simply cram convicts into tiny rooms and expect them to be miraculously "cured" while people who don't need it get fancy counsellings and what not. "A Psycho - and revenge is all he can see!" brings forth the point that people think of criminals as these terrible demons. |

Emo makes me fucking sick. Get over your god damned girlfriends and stop singing about them. If you like emo you sure as shit shouldn't be listening to Cheap Sex. Cheap Sex was invented out of frustration over how emo is taking over the music scene. They wanted to combat them and try to bring an interest in hardcore punk back to California. I completely agree with oldskoolpunker23, you faggot emos are posers and likewise shouldn't be infecting punk with your vomit. Go cut your wrists or something. Down the street.
Well, as it's pretty obvious, this song was written out of pure seething hatred for the emos.

As it is with most Misfits' songs, the meaning is pretty straight forward. It's about man tampering with the fabric of reality, or the genome, etc. and creating something that ends the world. I personally think it refers to opening a gate to hell, a la "Ultimate DOOM;" but that's just me. |
