Don't Open 'Til Doomsday

This song, is one of the better, and newer songs out. Its a shame its only a bonus track, but it still kicks serious ass. As far as the meaning goes, just read the lyrics its not that deep, like most misfits songs.

hey, if someone likes the new misfits, than thats their opinion. Personally, I love the old misfits better, but the version with Michale Graves isn't that bad. So, berfore you say FUCK THE NEWFITS or anything, keep in mind some people may jsut like them.

I like the Misfits A LOT, but i think of the Newfits as a totally different band, and i like them a lot too...

This is a great song. I love the harmonys and of course the sense of doom portrayed through all these lyrics.
I guess you could take a literal meaning of these words, that we have actually broken something, and now we are "fucked".
The meanings could even lie deeper,into religion. Not opening is never knowing, so why deny knowledge?

As it is with most Misfits' songs, the meaning is pretty straight forward. It's about man tampering with the fabric of reality, or the genome, etc. and creating something that ends the world. I personally think it refers to opening a gate to hell, a la "Ultimate DOOM;" but that's just me.
