just on the 'hell' reference, i dont think anyone really sees it as swearing anymore. i mean, he couldve dropped the "F bomb". he wanted to emphasise the point and used a word no one would really look twice at. except for ppl on this page apparently. |

i think its awesome that theyve started using more christian based lyrics agins. the last two albums werent very focussed on that and thats why their drummer left. i think that was a wake up to them. this song, to me at least, is talking about being proud of your cross, using it to make yourself look better than anyone else. unfortunately God doesnt respond to self-centredness. nothing will be the outcome. pretty sweet lyrics |

this song is incredible. i agree with the other guys. its talking about strongholds, temptation and the effect the world can have on people. its worded really well and it gets you thinking. whats better is that it has some sick guitar work and its bloody awesome |

i think its got somethin to do with the devil lying to us. i know the chorus is supposed to be from the voice mentioned in the first verse. i love the bit where he's just like, 'YOU LIED TO ME!" i cant believe whoever put this up didnt put it in the lyrics. its the best bit of the song. |

this song is so awesome. unfortunately i listened to it too much and i killed it :P oh well, its still one of my favs. awesome break down. whenever they do it they get one of the less-known bands front man to do it with them, the doin the waltz with ur murderer bit. awesome band, awesome lyrics. |

i used to have trouble finding christian meaning in a lot of norma jean songs personally, but ive found quite a few now. i agree with sekhemnet on this one, its awesome. its obviously something that meant a lot to cory or whoever wrote it. they say heaps that most of this album was full of personal stuff |

i try to look at the christian influence in all of killswitchs songs, theres usually a message in there somewhere. i think this is mostly about putting your life aside for others, but the second to last paragraph seems like its saying give yourself to the truth-GOD. man that guys great. well, thats me anyway. |

im not sure what adam d or howard were thinking about when they wrote the song (im not sure which one wrote it) but i reckon it might be coming from one of the disciples and refering to Jesus.
"i mourn for those who never met you" i thought was pretty sic. i thought that was talking about Jesus straight away.
"Wondering what were the last words I said to you." i thought this was one of the disciples meaning they were peaved coz they ditched Jesus in the garden just before He was crucified. |
