I don't know if anyone's mentioned this, but the whole chorus is a spin off the song from The Sound of Music. "These are a few of my favourite things.."

I disagree. I think this song is about how life is bullshit. You have no say in when you die, it happens whether you want it to or not and all you can do is wish.

This song is about September 11th, Isaac and Ishmael made some kind of movie on it? And they are brought up in the song. It also mentions bombs bringing people back together, I interpret it as the US asking for help after pushing away all the other nations prior to September 11th. At first I interpreted it as saying how we need to do more to help mankind, but the whole Bush and September 11th thing just fits too well. It probably it a mix of both, helping mankind as well as criticism. Slightly ironic.
