this is a great song. he evidently is reflecting on an ex love that he's not ready to let go of, remindinig her when she said she'd always love him, or maybe reminding himself... |

sounds to me like he's still in love and chasing after his ex..which he knows is not a good idea, probably because he knows she doesn't love him, hence breaking up with him. so he knows what's best for him, but he doesn't care. all he knows is that he wants her so badly that nothing else matters |

| Jack's Mannequin – Miss Delaney Lyrics

ok, for a second i thought maybe it was about him chasing her before they went out, but i'm confident that he's reffering to himself as the boyfriend, so that doesn't make sense.
he seems to be ambivolent, though, knowing she's not right for him, but kicking down the door nonetheless because he can't take being alone anymore. |

"Every day is coming up with the green grass
But the times pass" is just to show days passing i think, because he's not with her (which would be why he eats dinner without her). it almost seems like these lines are about after they broke up.
"you waited by the window. i waited by the door" may be incinuating that their difference in opinion, or different ideas about the relationship resulted in their breaking up.
"where's your boyfriend he's not up in heaven so why treat him like he's dead" does not necessarily have to refer to his illness. it could just be about their relationship. she could be neglective or just not willing to work on the relationship, letting it die, making him think she doesn't care anymore |

| Jack's Mannequin – MFEO: Part 1: Made for Each Other/Part 2: You Can Breathe Lyrics

i think the girl told him she needs room to breathe, or she's unsure of she's ready for a serious relationship, so while he waits for her he writes the song (you can breathe), but he can't wait forever (but the air is running out). both mfeo and this song make a great combo track with the intro piano to this part as a bridge, it's so perfect, i wish i could play like him! and although (knowing andrew) the lyrics are probably cynical, it has a cheery beat that makes me want to dance |

i heard the straw dog was supposed to be a drug dealer. but i also heard 'i woke up in a car' was about oral sex. i think a lot of the things my friends tell me is crap, especially about andrew's lyrics...he is much deeper than that. |

i think this is about the christian church or an individual christian..judging from other songs he used to be a christian but lost his faith and went into depression. it can't be about god, since he doesn't believe in god, unless he believes in god, but hates him. anyway there's a great remix of this song somewhere on the internet that i found, which i don't think trent did, but it's so good. hard-core industrial. probably the best remix i've ever heard of any song |

no need to feel perverted about wondering if this song is about sex, it goes without saying... i think he's being used in this song and he knows it, but he still tries to persuade the woman to love him because they 'could make it all disappear'. a personal favorite of mine. |

this song is andrew's best in my opinion. it's serene, yet tragic, beautiful yet despairing. and even though he has his own personal meaning for the lyrics, it's ambiguous enough to conform to the listener's emotion. |
