I love Franks' lyrics, they're just so amazing,
It's funny though because you listen to the songs and you experience that and its great and then you see the lyrics apart from that and i dont know, it just makes it so much better. It's actually what i loved about Pencey prep and i know that Pencey is dead and really that topic has no place here but i dont care because im a selfish bitch like that. |

obviously the song is about the movie boxing Helena but on a deeper level i guess the song is about lonleyness, its about wanting somone to the pint that your driven to hating them. "dance helana dance" is my favourite line in the song, its so ironic the idea is so full of spite. |

this song always reminds me of how when i was really little when i had a bad dream or if i was feaked out or had a temer tantrum my mother would calm me down by rubbing my back and making "shhh" noises.
my mom died when i was about 7, my dad remarried and my stepmother would try to do the same if i had a bad dream but it never ever worked and i would just lay awake and stare at the glow in the dark stars on my ceiling. |

this song was orginally written for "three cheers for sweet revenge" i think it does belong on that album, it would of ended it perfectly because at the end of thier first album the demolition lovers were driving across a desert. also if this was on three cheers it wouldnt of left everyone thinking "ZOMG!!!! so what happend to the demolition lovers!!!!!11111" i think its a little odd that they names quite a few of the songs of three cheers after songs by other bands eg. "hang 'em high" which was the title of a song by van halen, "helena" was a song by the misfits and if desert song was on that album i could of added def leppard to my list. anyway i think its a beautiful song and its my favourite mcr song. |
