uhmm so i don't think anyone's said this, but before i read any of this stuff about the label pressure i thought this song was about schizophrenia or having multiple identities. it could totally apply, i guess that's just way off from the original intent though. i thought the whole chorus was dialogue between himself, "why don't you like me? why don't you walk out the door!" haha. |

i'm pretty sure it's "lay in our beds by ourselves every night" and i disagree. i don't think it's about sex. i think it's just about a guy getting who's taking a relationship too seriously. the 2nd verse that you're saying shows horniness i think is just memories of times he's had with the girl. it's just another break up song. |

i think the second verse goes no one here is getting paid to act so please just save it for another mistake anyway, i know kenny wrote this album about the darkest times someone can go through life, but this seems like the little glimmer of light he has to just work harder and get back on the right track. i'm probably way off, but that's knida what i think. |

yeah, i think it's about hearing God's calling but he doesn't want to sacrifice reputation and what not. i love the reference too. 'i'm just scared of losing control i'm terrified of who i'll become with you' same concept in this song. so wonderful. at the end of the CD he decides he's going to turn his life around. 'it called me to give my whole life, well, that's what i'm gonna do.' i love this band eeeee |

i think this prov plays it safe on both sides sometimes... so it goes out to all audiences. anyway, i think it's definitely a spiritual song. to RustyJ, yeah it sounds pretty romantic, but spiritually people fall in love with the Lord and they aren't afraid to phrase it in such a way. i think it's definitely a song about falling in love with Jesus. |
