That pennies for the slot machine thing is about the band feeling like they're using their fans 'cause they're buying their records. |

I've always thought he was singing about that light you're supposed to see right before you die. It could make sense cause he sings that "It's the last thing that you'll ever see" and there's a few other lines that fits in pretty well to my theory. ie he sings about running out of time, and that you "might be free or freer than you've ever been. |

"I'm piping almost every night
I watch my dreams float by, out of sight"
You sure do, Peter. |

"Oh well, don’t you tell me how blessed are the poor
You’ve always wanted one slice more"
Love that part. And it's true cause most people talk about how sorry they feel for all the poor ones, but at the same time they keep living their lives spending money on useless things when they instead could use the money for charity or something. |

I agree with shevers. Brilliant ending lyrics, and it gets even better cause they're really sceaming it out. |

I think it should be
"Because if it's gone for you then I too may loose it"
anyways, This is probably one of their best songs and I love that "a list of things we said we'd do tomottow" line. Everybody can probably relate to that. |

"Oh get on a Greyhound and ride away
Live on birthday cake each day
Tell your grandparents that they’re gay
Steal their money and run away"
brilliant. |
