I think the first verse is about records. Vinyl, you know? Some lines, not so much, but the "purity of obscurity" and the line about "try to capture the name as it spins" or whatever, it all makes me think of records and record players.
And I know a few of the guys in this band are obsessed with record collecting. Haha. |

I think this song was originally called "Kid Party". I guess that was a more subtle title? Like, teen angst and everything? But the lyrics were kind of different when it was called that. Like, the chorus wasn't "I hate my friends...".
