| The Chicks – Bitter End Lyrics

Do you guys know what she means when she says "It's alright you can sleep tonight
Knowing you'll always live on in a song?” Because I thought at first it meant she was talking about a friend who she wrote a song about, and then the friendship ended. But after reading your comments, all the stuff you said makes more sense. But then I do not see where that lyric fits in. |

Well you can celebrate anything you want—hippies counterculture revolution!! Be individual! There are no restrictions.
Well you can penetrate any place you go – you can make a difference. Any place you can go, you can leave your impression and change the lives of many. (like john lennon)
Well you can radiate everything you are – don’t keep yourself inside you. You can e yourself, march around, and not let judgment make you afraid.
Well you can imitate everyone you know—people were all trying to be like john lennon, you can emulate them all you want, but you are never them.
Well you can indicate everything you see—anyting and everything is to your disposal. The universe is in your hands, Use your materials. Don’t let anything stop you.
Well you can syndicate any boat you row—I think this has to do with music. Anything you can do, you can sell. This may be in reference to him thinking he was selling himself. John lennon was not proud of that. |

People judge Yoko too harshly. Although I have heard as many bad things abuot her as the next person, we really have no idea what is fact or fiction. This song is so adorable, and if john loved her, I think we can accept her. |

This song reminds me of the Sergeant Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club band by the beatles, where they have a beginning and an ending, like a concert. |

Paul's mom was dying. I think this is about death. Paul is the only one who can sing about death and make it seem beautiful. |

| John Lennon – Oh My Love Lyrics

This song reminds me of their album "Two Virgins." They said they felt like they were two virgins, similar to "for the first time in my life." They felt everything they experienced together was new. |

| Bob Seger – Hollywood Nights Lyrics

I think that this song is more about this guy left the country to go to LA, and then he ended up falling for this girl. She was his only support in this strange new environment. Then when she left him, he realized how dependent he was one her. He was all alone, and then he realized he had changed. He has stuck in this limbo between the country life and the city. |

| Bob Seger – The Fire Inside Lyrics

|
I love this song!! To me, it represents the flaws of people. We all have this idea of the perfect life… The perfect person. Yet look at all the faults we have. We start young thinking that we have the world, but we cannot escape our inevitable doom. My favorite line is “Safe in the knowledge that they tried.” We, as humans, have stopped experimenting. We live life, hiding all that we want, and end up getting eaten by our own fire. The last verse really shows what is is all about. We lose everything. We lose everything to the fire. |
