| Wow, first to comment! This song is AMAZING! I first heard in on City-Walk in Universal, FL and was like OMG best song EVER! To me it seems to be about someone who feels like they're failing and they keep telling themself that if they lie about their life they will feel so much better. I guess it's an easy song to relate to because we all feel at times as if we're "in the gutter" if you will but if we tell ourselves that we're successful, we feel so much better. I think this song is sort of about how adults think that wearing black is for teens because MCR says "Maybe they'll leave you alone But not me" and so I think they're saying leave us alone and don't judge people by how they dress or how they look. |

This song is so beautiful! It seems like it's about loving someone so much that they would do anything for that person. I love what Pixie_dust_tt said about it. It's totally about feeling so complete! Before you landed I had a will, but didn't know what it could do You were abandoned, And still you're handing out what you don't wanna to lose This is such a great opening line because to me it means that every person wants to be in love but don't know how strong love is until they are actually in love with someone. It's also about how there is always someone who needs to be loved and they're handing out love to someone even if they're not loved back. Beautiful song, truly amazing! ; ) |

| I think it's basically about how he's in the city and he can't really defend himself and he sees a bunch of like homeless people and they "freak him out" and he thinks they're going to like hurt him, but then he realizes that they're just regular people "doing their thing." He just wants to treat everyone like a normal person. (Like when he offers a drink.) I think that he's trying to say that we shouldn't fear everyone because sometimes they're just being themselves. I think that this song is about not forgetting the people you know. They're saying that you've gotta hold on to every moment because "Here's to goodbye. Tomorrow's gonna come too soon." One of my friends moved away and it just came so fast and I feel like everything just flew by. I didn't enjoy the time while I had it. | I agree, this song is GREAT how can it NOT have like 2 billion comments and it's been over a year since someone commented. I'm pretty much posting this for myself!! Come on people! Okay I think that this song is just about how people ignore problems and pretend that they're not there. When he says, "Oh, I - I watch it all go down. Closed eyes - pretend no one's around" I think that it means he sees someone being hurt physically (or emotionally) but he doesn't say or do anything because he himself does not want to get too involved and ends up being the victim. This song to me is pretty much about how selfish America is. We're not willing to help others out because we don't want to take time out of our day or end up being injured. IDK it's just what I think about it!! | |
