I think this is alot more simplier than you make it. Seems to me like helping a significant other step out of the shell they put around themselves and better themselves and then turning and walking away before you destroy their lives hence "eclipse you, (block out your light)" Goes step out of your rind, then to run away from me!, I'm trapped in endless rain, PISSED OFF FUCK EVERYTHING RANT fucking kill me my life is meaningless, but maybe she comes back and see's through the anger and the hate, and he explains it in a soft sane way, "will always be your shadow" like he is going over reasons why he can't be there anymore, and then finally she turns and walks away and only then do you realize how much it really hurts, as that last line in that verse is the most emotional of the whole song. |
