40 below summer is one of the better bands to come along in quite some time. This particular song is quite deranged lyric wise and reminds me of "never get caught" by American Head Charge. These guys have gotten a good size following now and deserve to be reconized as a talented alternative metal band!
I asked Max from 40BS where does the title "Jonesin' " come from and he said he wrote the song about something really personal and to tell me where it came from and what it was about he would have to go into a lot of deep feelings; so I told him not to worry about it.
I don't really get where the lyrics in this song could have came from though. When I hear this song and read the lyrics I kind of get the vibe that maybe a person murdered (and/or raped) someone they felt really strongly about but wasn't exactly being treated right. Perhaps a guy/girl murdering (and/or raping) their significant other.
To me this is like killing someone you love violently in a dream, only to wake up and have her still be alive. Or most likely a past lover.
