| Menomena – Killemall Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| Tru tru zss & holycrapocto. Additionally, "kill 'em all", is a VERY common EVP (electronic voice phenomena -ps notice the parallels in words menomena & phenomena- EVP is believed to be the voices of deceased people speaking thru electronic devices or anything making a repetative noise like detuned "staticy" radios/TVs or trickling/running water. The movie white noise is based on EVPs. The song Jeremy by pearl jam is based on a real dead boy who has allegedly been speaking to many many people via EVP. In evps ghost try to convey love to surviving loved ones. Also very very common & creepy are curses & threats from the voices. Spirits saying the things we can't/won't, being ventrilliquist, no momment awake is ever alone, to me all reference to evps & the after life. AWEeeSSSommmmeee song!!!! | |
| Guillemots – Don't Look Down Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| This song drives me IN SANE!!!! A couple's fighting & breaking up but the "king" who waged the war recognizes his folly. He wants to call a truce. Can't they just laugh, dance & go out as they once did? ...he awaits a response from his love, but they make no eye contactbut nothing... "don't look down". He sees it's over. "...you can't say I gave you nothing". It's alright | |
| Guillemots – Clarion Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| I saw the show where Fyfe "this is a song about being a soft lad". To me the song is from the perspective of a gay person who (1) isn't fully out (& "All of these thoughts that I conceal") & (2) is lonely & going wild from anticipation of who may be out there for him- that they may be real ("Don’t think a plane could get much higher Higher than I do Just on imagination, just on hope Just on the thought that you will someday have a face"). | |

| Disregard the link I posted. I thought at first it was a good site to get a quick synopsis of the story of Haydrion & Antinous, but as I went back to thouroughly read the site I realized it was a bigoted & homophobic piece of shite! Better just to wikipedia their story. It's a love story to rival Romeo & Juliet, heathcliff & Cathy ect | |

| Fever Ray – Triangle Walks Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
Yes she's definitely haunted. Wether if its by ghost, or drug induced hallucinations, or just crazy delusions/hallucinations- I'm not sure. I DON'T think its as two dimensional as being about her kids keeping her up. Though that could be a small part of it too. I think everybody's overlooking many drug references; especially meth/cocaine...which would keep her up making her more paranoid & see stuff. She also seems to be out (possibly partying?) @ 5am. She's also concerned about being eaten out of house & home..maybe she's trying to make excuses for her emaciated appearance? Other Fever Ray or The Knife songs I feel reference her drug usage: heartbeats, dry and dusty, concrete walls, Is it medicine |

| Antony and the Johnsons – Atrocities Lyrics | 16 years ago |

I think its actually: God visits all loveless souls To survey the damage And holding his bleeding heart A tear comes to his eye He whispered It's the atrocities of History Of History Of... I think its about god's deaus otius complex. God's still omnipotent but removed or powerless. He's just reacting to man & nature's atrocities throughout history He still has a heart & wants to visit the loveless & lost souls yes its amazing! HAUNTING!!!!!!!! He (Antony Hagerty) is also lead singer of Hercules & Love Affair |
