| Bring Me the Horizon – MANTRA Lyrics | 2 years ago |
|
@[abraxas365:47628] - The main meaning of this is this brilliant quotable lyric: "Before the truth will set you free, it will piss you off" So, be careful what doth object to, it may be you! |

| Kevin Coyne – House on the Hill Lyrics | 2 years ago |
|
The red bus is death and it's always late, he never gets on the bus to go past the gate (the unknown). He says "I could die" but instead goes crazy. -- Listening to this song, while driving ... I was thinking about life and some experiences. Funny funny, funny funny! |

| KoЯn – Start The Healing Lyrics | 3 years ago |
|
The first voice is 'addiction' (drugs/alcohol/sex) asking - do you really want to try this danger? Brilliant lyrics 'are you ready for the feeling to leave? So you can breathe and not live with the danger'. A tight package signifying the circle of addiction with the intent to become clean. But it's always there, you can pretend for a short while. (My voice) Feeling of regret (I was bad) should have been down (not high) Addiction says "I can take it all away" while MY inner voice says I should have chosen differently, but I did it anyways... what was I to do? Addiction promises to take away the pain and start the healing - this is just my interpretation. 'Ready for scars to bleed?' we have been over this before many times like a scar that has healed but we cut the scar again. Pulling out the invaders: Pushing away people that love you because when you are in a state of mental anxiety and addiction you hurt those who love you. Eventually they can only show you love by cutting you off until you care for yourself. ... however there are always 'excuses' that allow one to remain in the circular pattern. { Dear Addiction, I admire your dedication! } For the inner voice to escape - deal with the pain and stop listening to the allure of addiction. |

| Bring Me the Horizon – MANTRA Lyrics | 6 years ago |

I can relate to this... wanting for a purpose. Wanting to be a con man, or to be somebody's else's con man. We who see the truth tend to piss others off. But what if we point that laser sharp eye at yourself? |

| Bring Me the Horizon – wonderful life (feat. Dani Filth) Lyrics | 6 years ago |
|
Song meaning: pretty obvious. I like the Music Video which shows Dads with their young kids, and guys walking around all alone including the Danzig type guy shopping for his cat. The tattooed guy who doesn't know how his plumbing works. The guy watering his Caravan (RV) with open (or broken) windows. I can't believe I'm actually da first to comment on this... until I see t I have t try 3 different browsers to get to this entry page. This site needs to try programming that works on Chrome & Brave. Fuckers. |

"Can I learn to live with what's trapped inside?" I just changed the lyrics without much fuss. No wonder so many lyrics on this site are messed up... too bad it is not for the better like my correction! |

| Kurt Vile – Pretty Pimpin Lyrics | 9 years ago |
| It's about being a man who can stand up to criticism. Also seeing yourself in the mirror as a stranger. Then thinking you are dressed somewhat OK (pretty pimping). | |

I get depressed in winter, too. I don't want to get stuck indoors, feeling of the fight to get out of this storm. |

| Foals – Mountain at My Gates Lyrics | 10 years ago |
|
The Mountain is DEATH on the horizon. I see it ahead, closer and more each day, Whatever I give to life is only going to this place. I may as well go ahead without abandon (no brakes) - Oh - but there may be hope... The mountain goes to the rear view mirror. |

| The Dead Weather – I Feel Love (Every Million MIles) Lyrics | 10 years ago |
| 1st comment... I heard this on the local college station (Milwaukee) and I immediately though "Jack White" and the meaning is that he can travel 1 Million miles whilst fucking chicks in every town but he only feels "love" about every Million Miles. What a relief he is still human. | |
| Best Coast – Feeling OK Lyrics | 10 years ago |
|
I just love the sound of this song; thanks to radiomilwaukee.org My interpretation is that the guy has a girl who works out (a lot) and SHE is feeling OK while he is in a depression (eyes of grey) but his depression has nothing to do with her. He loves her, but he is not well due to other shit. He sleeps in"every day is exactly the same" (NIN). Perhaps a doctor says he should take some anti-depression pills, or smoothies. Perhaps the gal is Way into Zumba? (I can relate). I like how the Video shows a Hawaiian guy with hamburgers all about him, it is foreboding perhaps. One thing is true, she is still in love with him and the "fad" exercise will date itself in time. |

| Megadeth – Hook in Mouth Lyrics | 10 years ago |
| When this was still fresh in 1989 there was this hook ... a fucking bitch from Cape Cod. | |
| Megadeth – Into the Lungs of Hell [Instrumental] Lyrics | 10 years ago |
| I first heard this in 1989 or so; right before the "Grunge" revolution. It was heavier than Guns and Roses! Better than hair bands! This was always much better than Slayer without being Metallica. | |
| Prong – Unfortunately Lyrics | 10 years ago |
|
It's all so unfortunate and I can totally relate. Feel like you are going around in circles, confusion, the same thing every day. Don't really have a direction, feels like you just want to leave your life, roam. A sign of depression is a lack of interest in sex. Past flaws may re-appear: = drinking, drugs. Losing hope and not letting people in. Let me go on to figure it out, even if the result is... unfortunately. |

| Royal Blood – Figure It Out Lyrics | 11 years ago |
|
The video has imagery of a young woman in some sort of struggle at a Mall. At first it seems like she is delusional and has perhaps committed a crime (there are 'wanted' signs of her in the Mall) so people run away and the cops chase her. There are flashes of red & blue: themes similar to the Matrix - is this reality Vs unreality? Perhaps she is on drugs or is just an insane killer (red) - Or is she being unfairly persecuted and finds the strength to fight back (blue). I prefer the Blue Pill in this video; the imagery shows he as the victor. She escapes at the end and 'figures out' that she has been subjected to a kidnapping where she was tied up in the back of a van outside the mall. The mall scene was her escapes and the 'murder' was an act of self-defense to defeat the evil plans of her predator/captor. http://youtu.be/jhgVu2lsi_k |

| Kongos – Come With Me Now Lyrics | 11 years ago |
|
Best Lyrics: "I was born without this fear Now only this seems clear I need to move, I need to fight I need to lose myself tonight ... I think with my heart and I move with my head I open my mouth and it's something I've read I stood at this door before, I'm told But a part of me knows that I'm growing too old" I thought I heard "Woe come with me now" Is that Dave Matthews singing BYW? TO ME this song is about embracing my eventual Death and not letting myself get down about it. Make my best effort with whatever time I have left. Love this sound. |

| Phantogram – Fall In Love Lyrics | 11 years ago |
| Don't ever get sucked into another human being so much that you get depressed and/or suicidal. If you feel this way try to get the frak out of your environment. Go have some fun in New Orleans or just find yourself on a beach. Christ I wish I had gone to Brazil in the 90's. | |
| Jim James – State of the Art (A.E.I.O.U) Lyrics | 12 years ago |
|
Technology is changing our world so quickly, an ever increasing 'gap' forms between between people generationally and technicallogically. Struggling to live a life worth meaning...are we as humans advancing spiritually? (We've got our wires all crossed) AEIOU - something else is missing from life (like BCDFGHJKLMNPQRSTVWXZ?) That last part about the power going out = death? or change? What would we all do if the power went out and our mobile devices were useless? Where would the economy be, could we all raise chickens and brew our own beer? Would we all be lost and have to re-evaluate our lives when the power goes out? Why is it sung in the past tense "I used the state of the art technology" like he no longer uses it or like it used to use him and the singer has overcome that state where it was using him? |
