I love this song. i love the melody of the main verses, but i'm not crazy about the chorus, although i deal because it's a wonderful song regardless. this song is basically about a girl who is oppressed-- i got the feeling the song was inspired by Tita in Like Water for Chocolate... or even the girls who are raised in polygamist colonies in Utah, but that's just me-- and wishes/attempts to escape and overcome. |
