yeah...definatly a band i want to see come back and make more music! PLEASE!!!! this was one of the first songs i heard from this band that got me hooked on them. love this song. i dont know the meaning but i would love to...its such a great song because he does change his thoughts about coming and picking her up...its like dude...what happened. i think i might need to listen and think about it more |

yeah i think its about suicide also...same as what Jimnal said...only at the end i think he dies... "butter on a summer day..." basically the repeating lines in the song, "sat down on the tracks..." he parked his car/sat on tracks waiting for the train (that megan was on) to come and kill him (thats some extreme shit) "somebody came and took me hand..." he died and an angel came and took him away "finally had to go...." pretty self explanitory...what do you guys think? |

| man i saw Bayside back when they just released Long Story Short...damn it feels like such a long time ago...but anyways..i saw them at a place at Indianapolis....seriously only 15 people in the building and about 6 (including me and my g/f) in front of the stage they played...they covered Megan (non-acousticly) the best cover song ive ever seen a band play. it was really great, i told them they should record the cover cause it was amazing...little did i know my deams would come true on this acoustic, (but would rather here it non-acoustic =P) | |

"a song translated from one language to another isn't going to be perfect. in the original language, it flows, but directly translated to english, it won't. it's rewritten so it has the same idea and the same feel, but changed lyrically so it flows." yeah thats realated to word context. whats i think Pharmicopia is saying...is that the translation have NO relation to the english version. so...both songs have two different meanings...you guys think its struggle of the soul...eating himself away or something like that right? ever though of this.... the Spanish version is talking about the person singing in English..."¿que pasa contigo?" really means "whats happening with you?!?!?" also another thing to look at...the second verse talking about the sun and all...that verse in spanish which is "Déjalo si quires coninuar, no ocultes tu alma ya al sol, tienes una vida preciosa ¿de qué sirve si solo muere sobre media cuida? ¿que pasa?¿que pasa contigo?¿que pasa contigo mi hermano?¿que pasa contigo?.." from my translation (and i speak pretty good spanish) "leave it if you want to continue, dont hide your soul from the sun, you have a precious life. what good are you if you die over this town? whats happening? whats happing with you? whats happeing with you man (brother, however you want to translate that)?, whats happening with you? if my translation is incorrect let me know. so basically i think that the spanish version is speaking about the english dude, and the english dude is speaking to himself....any thoughts? |
