mred, even if we were to base this arguement (whether or not sufjan is married w/ kids) on the fact that he never mention them before, you would still lose Man of Metropolis... "Dreamt the lake took my boy." or i guess he might just be creating a completely fake life in order to fool the masses. Sufjan is tricky like that. |

| Oh yeah hasbulelias we should totally just block out one of Sufjan's main writing subjects, and the fact that he says "God," and instead assume he's talking about something with absolutely no relation to religion. Pottercomics, I don't think so since at the concert he said it was about him. Anyway, i realize lots of you are getting fed up with the talk about sufjan being gay, but heres just one more little tidbit to disprove the theory as far as i can tell. He has a family; he's married ("family portrait" included in his next album, Songs for Christmas. www.asthmatickitty.com) Ok, next; He says "I love him each day," and yet he's married, so the type of love he has is probably something different than what most of us think it is. Finally, "Into the car, from the backseat Oh, admiration in falling asleep" Most likely shows that he's just a kid. He's just sitting in the back sleeping. "I hide in my bed with the lights on the floor" further supports the idea that he's a kid. 8 year olds generally aren't gay. Sorry to those of you fed up with this conversation. If you have any insight please let me know. For the record this is one of the greatest songs ever. |
