I've gotten that impression...at all. I see this more as the woman the narrator loves is dieing, and it's about the way he's dealing with it. He's with her at her death bed. The feeling in the song doesn't come across like your explanation to me. The writing referances make me think he was writing something for her, but never finished it before she died. I dunno, I've just never gotten the impression she was killed by the narrator, nor that the relationship was greatly flawed like that. |

I think it's about being a black sheep, not fitting in and embracing it, asking another to join. Which would explain the "live with the blacksheep, live with me". Best guess! |
