Me and a friend got to know this song from "Mr. Brooks" (We actually sat until the credits ran out just to know the name of the band ^^) Really beautiful song and vocals. I think the song's about a soldier who, because of his duty, was forced to commit acts he himself despised and eventually began to lose it. But the chorus itself gives the song a layer of hope, a way to fight back against it. Really beautiful ^^ |

Lovely song. My personal favorite from Antimatter.
Like title indicates, this song has revenge written all over it. Revenge, anger and regret. |

I don't support the incest theory, but he wasn't very far off either. This is the way I see this song: A mother died, leaving her only son (David) behind. And now David is at a loss, not knowing where his life is going anymore, and to some extent breaking apart. One thought remains, he wishes to join his mother in death (1st verse/chorus), and I believe the 6th verse is his mother comforting him, giving him the strength to go on. To me this song is basically about a kind of love between a mother and a son, that transcends life and death. |

I can't exactly explain it, but I couldn't imagine any other way of closing off The Fragile. It starts out with a rather monotone and somewhat obscure sound but it finishes with a relaxing tune; a message of hope and understanding, perhaps. " After a long night, we rise once more ". I had this epiphany in a not-so-sober state of mind, it really gives me a different prespective when it comes to nin. Beautiful experience, awesome closure, long live nine inch nails. |

A very inspirational and emotive song. Life is energy, love is energy, take a risk and live.
That's basically what it meant to me.
And on that matter, much love to anathema ^^ |

Beautiful song. It gives out such an ambiance, it's really one of those songs I specially like to hear while waking up in the morning. It's relaxing, and also melancholic to a certain extent; a cry of hope and despair mixed with a celestial background. A masterpiece ^^ |

I really loved this song and the video. The final scene was really something special to watch, and the song itself has a deeper meaning, at east for me it does, since I can say I've been "down there". Life goes wrong, you try to escape it, and when the day ends, it somehow looks perfect, through your eyes only. Hope gets us through life and its pressure, I think that's the overall message of the song. |

When Year Zero comes out, gentleman, start your brainstorming ^^ (kinda reminds me of the downward spiral era) |

Probably my favorite anathema song so far.
At first I thought it was pretty simple, but over the time the analogy between love and electricity kept getting more and more complex every time my mind wandered about it. This song explored my life, and made me find out what love means to myself.
I'm glad anathema exists. |

| Nine Inch Nails – The Way Out Is Through Lyrics

One of my favourite songs of the fragile. I remember the first time I heard it, still a bit "fragile" from La Mer and The Great Below, and I really felt a small feeling of peace of mind, of liberation. It was simply amazing, I can't describe what was going thru my head at that time. Again, I'm like armin9162, Nine Inch Nails was the only band that really got into me, and my way of thinking, living, and changed everything. These years of nin die-hard fanship have been perfect, a trip of emotions, a trip back and forth your head, meh.. I won't go on, speeches are not my thing ^^''. |

| Team Sleep – Princeton Review Lyrics

I think this song is about finding a person's true personality, and at the same time finding out what you knew about him/her before, were all a charade (That's the way you were) (Be this or not I know I don't understand). This brings a kind of uncertainty to both (And so we freeze).
The title "Princeton Review" leads me to believe this is something in the past, and that the two characters portrayed here continued living on, frozen. |

Great song.
To me this song's about the harsh realities of life that seem to drown you the more you try to fight them. Complete freedom is non-existent, and only in your most distant dreams you can get clear view of what it really is.
A dark, intense and beautiful masterpiece. Anathema grows on me every single day. |

Yeah this was a complete dissapointment. I mean, nothing against hip hop, I don't like it but I'm sure that in the middle of all that commercial "i have girls and guns" routine, there's something worth listening. But I don't know, It just doesn't seem natural to me, althou songs like 7 words have a little hip-hopish feeling in some lines, it's all hard rock in the end. And that's the deftones i love, not this. |

A more extreme/paranoid definition to the word "Panic". Pretty nice song indeed.
Verse nº14th is "I can feel my chest pressing inwards" |

Beautiful song.
The message to me was clearly "Carpe Diem-Seize the Day". To live life the best you can, as fast as you can, before the moment passes you by and your life is over. To have the power to chance, to move on, instead of holding on to false dreams or simple ignore life itself. The world isn't waiting. |

This song is simply stunning. Perfection. For me atleast, it will be one of those songs that I will never get tired of listening to, ever. The best NIN song in my opinion. The concept of profound sadness, not of something that was, but something that never was.. that could have been. A future, lost. This is a piece of art that I will cherish for the rest of my life. |

| Nine Inch Nails – Kinda I Want To Lyrics
| 19 years ago

At first, I thought was referring to some kind of drug, "kinda i want to" portraying that same addiction. However, lines like "there's a devil sleeping in my bed" makes it clear that this song is about addiction, but the wrong kind of it, perhaps having sex with someone you shouldn't. It doesn't mean it's with a men, it can be with a prostitute, or an ex-girlfriend, who knows. |

| Nine Inch Nails – Now I'm Nothing Lyrics

This song is so simple and yet manages to bring out the emotion of the listener. I nearly went psychotic when I saw footage of him singing this intro @ Lollapalooza 91. It was disturbing at the time but that made me love it even more :]
I Wish they would make a studio version of it, it would be well worth it. |
