how the hell am i the first to have a comment for this song? it's one of the best on the album. alot of glassjaw sounds as far as the vocals go, but it's intense. it's a great sing-along song for a road trip, or by yourself. |

i can only think what i would go through if my daughter said this to me while i was on the road. my girlfriend called and said it to me while i was on tour once and it hit me like a wreckingball. you never know what life will bring to you. this album has changed me. |

as far as how he sings this song, it's not his normal character, but it's being sung through the eyes of a neurotic/paranoid suspect. if it was portrayed anyother way, this song would be too off to put into perspective. john's a genious, you just have to think in abstract ways in order to get as much out of every song as you can. i felt the same way when i first heard it, but next time you listen, think what someone in that situation would talk. i think you'll agree. |

| Alice in Chains – Angry Chair Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| "pink cloud has now turned to grey" could mean that the spoon- once containing heroin- is now empty -(the spoon being grey)- because some heroin has a cloudy pink tinge to it... | |
| Crowbar – Lasting Dose Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| i'm not sure what it's about, but i do know that a 12 pack and $76 worth of coke inspired it. | |

| Alice in Chains – Nutshell Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| this song helped me through a period that -at the time- reflected how i felt in every way. it gave me strength to keep going. although the stuggle isn't over, i do feel a bit comforted because of it. thanks layne. | |

it almost seems that its a one way conversation -or letter- to his wife about coming off heroin. not because he wants to but is being forced to. "one day you'll find me in the corner more sublime" possibly kicked off? |
