its really good. i think some famous saint once said, "i want to be a saint, just not yet" something like that. it reminds me of this song. its actually a sad song, a song about hopelessness, you know, giving in. she feels these thoughts that she should do the right thing and everything would be alright, but she dismisses them till later, and goes ahead. reminds me of addiction. brilliant song. |

this is a real cool song. i think its just about an ex and what you're supposed to think about them afterward. yeah, its over, but it wasnt all bad. you know? like i guess it was love, but its all good now, at least it happened. i think "the name to call me" would be something like "honey or babe, or w/e." the dum dum dums are the best part of the song. |

wow. easy. haha a ton of fights goin on in here. you guys could use a few more listening to the song. which is awesome, especially the mary j. blige version. so emotional and real. like an instant classic. you get this feeling listning to it and you dont know where it comes from. i think the song is sort of an overall philosophy on life and sharing it with other people. its simply brilliant. it definitely progresses as it goes. i like the part "We get to share it...It leaves you baby...If you don't care for it" and that "we get to carry eachother" thanks. |

the melody and arrangement of this one is sweet. i agree with sam samson that the two stanzas kind of oppose eachother, the first that it's for nothing, the second that it's beautiful. excellent song tho. |

it means that we're all sort of dissatisfied with life and time, how it changes, and how people try to get ahead of that change, or keep things the same to stay on top. how it's useless to try to use technology to conquer this yearning we all have, because all it does is delay things, and make us fake. he tries to love this girl, but he knows his love is so twisted and its not real, that she's fake, and he's just as bad for giving in to her. beautiful song tho, hope we can all figure out what it means to truly be real. (look up the velveteen rabbit story) thanks. keep listening to radiohead everybody. |

wow. cant beleive theres not a million comments on this one. one of my favorite nickel creek songs for sure. its so real. its about how he knows deep down really what is true, but its hard for him to accept it, hard for him to rationalize it and to do what's right. sure he says he does the stuff, but he doesnt always feel it. he's scared to die, because he doesnt know for certain what lies ahead, which scares him, but in the end he takes his promise in a blind act of faith and trust that God really is what he says He is. great song, we can all feel for this guy, and examine ourselves with this song. thanks chris. |

best coldplay song by far probably.
dont know why its not on X&Y, but it seems i always like their B-Sides better anyway... they're leaning a little too poppy on their radio songs i think.
anyways, i think this is sweet, because like the girl gives him like... proof of god, proof of life being worth living, proof that there is some good in this world, proof that he should keep trying...
i think this is definiteltly the ideal relationship, like pointing towards heaven and love.
its sooo good. aaand i like a lot of bands that i consider "christian" even though they arent explicitly, i think a lot of times they're more poetic and more christian than many of the christian rock bands.
keep it up coldplay. lets hear more songs like this one. |

hey, i think an end to tiny vessels is interesting, and definitely works. both great songs eh? but i had always thought every time i listened to this one that it more had to do with heaven. like after she dies then she'll be loved. kind of going along with the theme in plans. like facing death with love and wondering whats after, i think that the girl is supposed to be loved once she's in heaven by god or something, and looking back to her life, thinks that all her earthly loves were lacking, like a bad dream. haha so w/e tell me what you think of that perspective... thanks. deathcab is awesome. |
