We'll, i guess we can all say we didn't expect this kind of lyrics from Wilson...
I like it. The lyrics remind me of "What Do You Want From Me?" by Pink Floyd, and the music is awesome. |

Hmm. I don't know about that theory. All of the songs in Nil Recurring weren't included in FOABP because Wilson didn't think they'd fit with the concept. Seeing the first verse kinda makes sense that decision. The whole song brings the image of a suicide bomber with religious intentions, specially that first verse.
But yeah, my favorite from the ep... |

I've just recently started listening these guys, heard about them through QOTSA, and I definetly love them. Too bad they're not around anymore, they are certainly better than most of today's bands. Mark's is probably my favorite voice.
From Wikipedia:
"The record [Dirt] featured Mike McCready of Pearl Jam and Mad Season playing the guitar solo on 'Dying Days', a track commemorating the death of several of Lanegan's close friends, and of the grunge scene in general." |

| Porcupine Tree – This Is No Rehearsal Lyrics

This was at the Wikipedia entry for this song:
Steven Wilson said of "This Is No Rehearsal": "This song was directly inspired by a tragic UK event a few years ago. A child was taken from a shopping mall while his mother was momentarily distracted and was later found dead and tortured near a railway track. The most disturbing thing about the story was that the two abductors/murderers turned out to be children themselves." |
